Really good run 'n gun. The added gameplay element of attacking the background elevates this game over a lot of it's peers. Captures the 2d action of 90s games really well. Excellent co op support. Short but fun.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.13/day in the week to Aug 3 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Норм в коопе, но слишком сложно даже на лёгком.
This game is extremely good. I played through the game on hard difficulty just for an extra challenge and enjoyed every moment of it. It's short, but all 5 hours of my playthrough were fantastic, especially with how much the set pieces change from level to level, there's no two levels that feel similar and it really strengthens the game from start to finish.
The jiggle physics on the playable female character is what sold me on this game. GG devs.
игра очень хардовая с одной жизнью но довольна таки интересна круто что в подобные игры кооп завозят приятно видеть и русификатор впридачу молодлци!
SHOOT, DODGE AND TRY NOT TO DIE! Zenovia Interactive's second game does not disappoint! Fun run and gun gameplay and though hard it never felt impossible to beat the odds. Great artwork as well!
Neon Inferno is a fast-paced cyberpunk action shooter that takes inspiration from classic arcade run-and-gun games while introducing enough new ideas to feel fresh and exciting. Beneath its retro-inspired presentation lies an intense and highly energetic combat system built around layered firefights, stylish movement, and relentless enemy encounters. The game immediately captures attention through its neon-drenched atmosphere, explosive action sequences, and old-school arcade spirit, but what truly makes it memorable is how confidently it evolves familiar mechanics into something uniquely chaotic and satisfying. Set in a dystopian future version of New York City, the game throws players into a world consumed by gang warfare, corruption, and violent power struggles. Rival factions battle for control while heavily armed assassins roam the streets carrying out deadly missions for criminal organizations. The story itself is relatively straightforward, focusing more on style and momentum than deep narrative complexity, but the setting is packed with enough personality to keep the experience immersive. The futuristic cityscapes, rain-soaked alleyways, industrial ruins, and glowing skyscrapers create a gritty cyberpunk atmosphere that perfectly matches the nonstop violence unfolding on screen. The core gameplay revolves around classic side-scrolling run-and-gun combat, but Neon Inferno introduces a creative twist through its layered shooting mechanics. Enemies attack not only from the immediate foreground but also from distant background positions, forcing players to constantly shift their attention between multiple combat layers. This creates firefights that feel more dynamic and unpredictable than traditional side-scrollers. At times the game resembles a gallery shooter as players target enemies deep in the environment, while moments later it returns to close-range arcade action filled with dodging bullets and blasting through waves of opponents. This mechanic works remarkably well because it keeps the player constantly engaged. Every stage becomes a balancing act between movement, positioning, and awareness of threats coming from different depths of the battlefield. The combat feels aggressive and fluid, rewarding players who stay mobile and react quickly under pressure. Additional mechanics such as bullet deflection and slow-motion abilities add even more depth, giving players ways to survive overwhelming encounters while still maintaining the game’s fast arcade pacing. The pacing is one of the game’s strongest qualities. Neon Inferno rarely slows down for long, constantly introducing new enemy types, environmental hazards, and large-scale set pieces that keep the action feeling fresh. Boss fights are especially memorable because they combine visually impressive attacks with demanding combat mechanics that require fast reflexes and careful observation. The game clearly embraces the philosophy of classic arcade shooters where mastery comes through repetition, pattern recognition, and improving reaction speed over time. Visually, the game is outstanding. The pixel art presentation captures the spirit of 1990s arcade games while still feeling modern and detailed. Explosions light up the screen with vibrant colors, enemy animations are fluid and expressive, and the environments are packed with small visual details that strengthen the cyberpunk atmosphere. Neon signs flicker above crowded streets, industrial machinery sparks in the background, and futuristic architecture stretches across the skyline. The entire world feels alive despite the retro art direction, proving how much attention was given to environmental design and animation. The soundtrack complements the action perfectly. Heavy synth tracks, industrial beats, and aggressive electronic music constantly reinforce the high-energy atmosphere of combat. Combined with explosive weapon sounds and impactful audio effects, every firefight feels loud, chaotic, and satisfying. The sound design plays a huge role in maintaining momentum because the game rarely gives players a chance to relax once the action begins. Replayability is another major strength. Multiple playable characters with different abilities and combat styles encourage experimentation across repeated runs. Local cooperative play also adds to the arcade-inspired appeal, turning already chaotic firefights into even more entertaining multiplayer experiences. Score chasing, difficulty challenges, and mastery of advanced mechanics provide additional incentives for players to revisit stages and improve their performance. Despite its many strengths, the game is not always easy to follow during its most intense moments. The layered combat system can occasionally become visually overwhelming when enemies attack simultaneously from multiple directions and depths. Some players may struggle to quickly distinguish foreground threats from background shooters during especially chaotic sequences. Difficulty spikes can also feel unforgiving, particularly for players unfamiliar with older arcade-style design philosophies built around memorization and rapid reaction times. The campaign itself is relatively short, following the structure of traditional arcade shooters rather than large modern action games. However, the replay value, character variety, and score-focused gameplay help compensate for the shorter runtime. The game clearly prioritizes tightly designed action over unnecessary padding, which ultimately works in its favor because the pacing remains consistently exciting from beginning to end. What makes Neon Inferno stand out most is its ability to respect retro arcade design while still introducing mechanics that feel genuinely innovative. Many retro-inspired shooters rely entirely on nostalgia, but Neon Inferno actively experiments with new combat ideas that make firefights feel different from standard run-and-gun experiences. The layered shooting system gives the game a distinct identity while still preserving the addictive simplicity and intensity that made classic arcade shooters so memorable. Neon Inferno succeeds as both a tribute to classic arcade action and a modern reinterpretation of the genre. Its stylish cyberpunk presentation, inventive combat mechanics, satisfying pacing, and explosive visual design combine into an experience that feels energetic, polished, and consistently entertaining. Fans of retro shooters, fast-paced arcade gameplay, and dystopian science fiction settings will likely find themselves completely absorbed by its relentless action and neon-soaked atmosphere. Отличная игра. Больше всего похожа на Wild Guns (Snes) или ♥♥♥♥ Tracy (Sega), только с графоном как на Neo-Geo
