As a huge fan of the Nekomew series,I have to say this game is worth your 11 bucks! For those who were unsatisfied with the first game “Potty Trouble” for either its insane difficulty for those who aren't skilled at rhythm or the premise which seems to drive people away due to it being weird but not with malicious intent if you played the entire game lol. I think you should try Nightmares as it is way better than that game both in gameplay and story. Nightmares is more of a game that takes place during Potty Trouble but some events in that game are required to get the full story so far (Extra mode cutscenes and the Finale of Potty Trouble) however Nightmares clears up the main part of the story well with cutscenes and new info on our little protagonist's story for those who were confused with how it was handled in the first game. The music in this game is my personal highlight. Some of my favorite tracks are “Return of the Nurse” and “Return of the Car”. You can purchase the ost along with the game if you wish! It's worth it! The gameplay takes inspiration from most rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven with each level feeling like some sort of minigame that is an introduction to a monster's main rhythm mechanic. Later on, some levels feel like the remixes from Rhythm Heaven a bit where it combines each monster mechanic its amazing! Speaking of minigames, 3 minigames serve as extras that help you unlock some of the extra stuff like music and character portraits! All of them are pretty fun in terms of replayability! Overall, Nekomew’s Nightmares is an underrated gem. For those who were unsatisfied with Potty Trouble, I'd say give this game a chance. It's worth your time and money and it’ll leave you satisfied. Nekomew deserves a second chance in the English community for this game he really does.
