Really bad fov, crazy muzzle flash so if you want a epileptic fit this is the game for you.
This game is one of my most favorite out there, sure a lot of it comes from nostalgia playing it on my dads crusty old laptop that is still kicking to this day but even under neath all of my memories the game itself is surprisingly insane. The only thing that I can imagine holding this game back is maybe the funding and not so great devs, because the idea itself is like so creative, zombies mixed with vampires and hell in the first world war, like thats crazy and I love it. And one thing that no one will take away from me is the atmosphere in this game. Like all of the levels except for the last one id say have such an eerie and insane vibe to it, the whole game and the old graphics make it even better, especially the monastery or what is it called. I genuinely sat for like 10 minutes in the giant church with the huge beds just soaking it all in. And at least for me it is a very hard game so I would advise playing with godmode but I just suck at it so... I would really love to see some bigger better equpied and better funded studio remake this game. Hopefully in some universe, God I love this game nostalgia or not...
Good Game!
PERFECT
нормальное дополнение , хорошее
A better overall experience than it's main game but severely lacking in the lets say: "shock and awe" factor. NecroVisioN: Lost Company is a Prequel Sequel to incredibly janky, weird, but very unique FPS, NecroVisioN both eveloped by The Farm 51. You play as Jonas Zimmermann, a german soldier during WWI and one of the antagonists early on in the base game. Following him seeing the zombies start to break out in the trenches as well as his decent into becoming the next user of the Shadow Hand, a gauntlet made by underground vampires. If you are not familiar with NercoVisioN's setting that sentence would be absolute bonkers. The game does a great job on improving NecroVisioN's gameplay loop in both adding more and streamlining the progression to MOSTLY play more towards it's strengths as much as they possibly could, but at the cost at not really seeing the more fantastical elements that the base game gave amble room to express. Gameplay of Lost Company is more or less the exact same as the main game, which shouldn't be a surprise, of a FPS Melee combat hybrid with a combo system, bullet time, and more. But you do have a few new inclusions, such as some new melee and gun weapons, new enemy types, and a few new vehicles segments. Which isn't super mind blowing in terms of expansion pack additions but they are pretty nice inclusions. As mentioned eariler about 8 out of the 10 levels all take place in the WWI parts of the base game's setting, meaning most of the combat is with the weaker zombie and possessed german soldiers enemy types. Honestly this is mostly a good thing since the base game really started to fall apart in the fun factor when you got hit with enemies that have high health, hit like a truck, and move faster than you do. Which is such a bonkers problem to have but kinda makes sense when you have multiple gameplay mechanics clashing with each other. Here since it's dialed back it does mean Zimmermann's adventure is consistently more enjoyable, as the only really frustrating part was the final boss for the exact same problems I mentioned. Again it really makes me wish this game had a remake to completely rebuilt the game's concept from scratch or a new game taking the same gameplay loop and ironing out the conflicting mechanics. Cause it really has some promising potential, at least to me. Stylewise, since it still runs on the same weird modified version of the Painkiller engine as the base game runs on, Lost company more or less looks exactly on the same level. Although there are a lot more areas in the above ground and at different times of day so it does have some variety from the main game in that aspect. There's even some reused maps from the base game which do make sense given it's a prequel. It does also have all the same problems that the base game has with the motion blur and all the other visual effects going off with little to no settings to tone them down. Overall, NecroVisioN: Lost Company does do what is basically a expansion pack to NecroVisioN should do. Add new weapons, enemies, and levels with the novelty of being a prequel from the point of view of one of the villians. While it does absolutely succeed in doing that and arguably paces it out better than the main game does, it doesn't have the same flavor of absolute nonsense and shlock that the main game has. Zimmermann does not have the same amount of cheesy aura that Simon had. And personally, Simon's attitude towards things fit more in the game about fighting in WW1 but with zombies, dragons, and using technology from underground vampires to also fight demons from Hell with. Zimmermann barely gets to touch the vampire half of the main game by the time his adventure is almost over. So if you had to choose one of the games to experience what NercoVisioN is all about I would say play the base game even if Lost Company is arguably the better game.
oof
Ever wanted a gay situationship with George Patton where you fight hordes of unspeakable horrors together? Lost Company is slightly better than it's predecessor. I still hate it though.
