The original soundtrack is excellent. Each track is long with constantly shifting rhythms that sync really well with the note patterns. Every time you play, the chart is randomly generated (though the rhythm points stay the same), so you can’t just memorize the chart. There's a practice mode that lets you jump to specific sections of a song and adjust the speed—it's incredibly helpful!
Nebula Flow is truly underrated at this moment and a must-play game for rhythm and music game fans! I felt like the gameplay and overall vibe were very satisfying, especially as you learn to get used to the controls and the aura boost mechanic. The music is lush, diverse and refreshingly funky at times. The pixel art style, color palette and character designs are all charming. Even though the level selection is currently slim, the achievements and steep rise in difficulty towards the end make sure you have a lot to grind for if you crave the challenge. While I did receive a free copy (thank you, Songe!) I would still say it's worth it for those craving a new rhythm game filled with passion. It easily deserves the support and I'll be looking forward to future updates :)
It's a good Game, getting S on the last two levels is a pain, since there is a sudden difficulty jump after the third to last level (From 2/5 Stars to 4/5 Stares and 4.5/5 Stars). Since the Game is in EA I assume there will be 3 Star levels in the future that might make the transition smother, but with enough experience in ramming your head against a Rhythm Game Level, beating the level is quite doable (after some time). I particular love the boost power. The concept is that the closer the player gets to the dog, the harder the game gets, since you cant see the next steps to long in advance, with even the danger of dying when making mistakes to close to the dog. The boost power can increase the distance between player and dog, allowing the player to decide if they want to play hardcore without boosts or instantly boosting once it is available. All in all I would recommend this game and am looking forward to the full release. (Also looking forward to Achievements, since the dev said they were going to add them some time in the future)
Super fun little game ! The tracks until now are good, and it has a super good art direction. The gameplay loop, while simple, is a fun risk-reward system. While there is currently 8 tracks, they do jump in difficulty from ~2 stars to 4+. It shows pretty well how the game can scale. The price seems a bit steep for "only" 8 tracks compared to other Rhythm Games, but the promise of having around twice as much levels, and of a Level Editor makes me confidant in the future of the game. As a note, I think it would be wise to map some more keys to jump by default instead of just A on a controller. The high difficulty tracks feel very hard without the ability to quick press. Wish you the best!
Super jeu qui respire l'amour Les musiques sont incroyables et l'intégration avec le gameplay est géniale.
A rhythm game that feels both fresh and familiar. It makes every level a half-sight read with patterns that are oriented semi-randomly (without losing any of their musical fit) and allows for self-set difficulty depending on whether you just want to clear the 15 3min+ long levels, or are going for good rankings, full combos, and no boost runs. Overall very delightful, and great vibes to go along with it
Fun small game at the moment that's currently in early access. A decent handful of cute song charts with 2 really hard ones (basically the difficulty jumps from 2 stars to 4 stars to give you an idea). If i had to complain about one thing it would be the current lack of chart manipulation, i personally would like to see the ability to increase the movement speed while keeping the same beat since i'm too used to notes coming at me at light speed in other games, otherwise ill likely load this up from time to time to see if i can full clear anything on a fresh mind.
I bought this game thinking I will play it for a bit, and then leave it, but I just keep coming back to it! The rhythm gameplay is very well integrated with the music itself and gives a great satisfaction from both musically performing the track and overcoming the challenge. Songe's dedication to quality and keen artistic skills expressed in his music are also in display in his game.
Nebula Flow does 2 fundamental things differently from most rhythm games that make it really enjoyable for me. 1. While the rhythm you're expected to play to the music is always the same, the path to follow (i.e. whether a "note" is a movement up, down or a jump) is different every time. It feels like sight-reading (i.e. reading sheet music you don't know as you play) and it's an exhilarating feeling. The boost mechanic allows control how much pressure you're willing to take on, which is a very nice touch. 2. Unlike all of the rhythm games I've ever played (and I've played a bunch!), its difficulty is not based on how many and how fast it can throw things at you. Instead, it's based on the complexity of the rhythm itself: syncopation, variations, embellishments, polyrhythms, etc. These two twists on the genre's standards set it apart in a very good way: it feels like it's about musicianship, more than pure dexterity and memory as most rhythm games are. That paired with the fact that the soundtrack is fantastic make it a must-try for rhythm game enthusiasts!
Really enjoyable rhythm game. The Music is something I havent seen in most rhythm games and the gameplay is both fun and intuitive. The Devs are also quick to fix problems and add smaller features if requested. It's a genuinely enjoyable and relaxing game that is playable on lower difficulties to relax or if you want an actual challenge the higher difficulties are actually difficult and not just because the tempo is faster or anything but because the mechanics get harder to execute with tighter timing and changed mechanics.
