About
Navicula Meatus is a dark and surreal puzzle-adventure game set in a peculiar world of murky alleys and fleshy growths. Explore a decaying town shrouded in mystery, interact with its charming denizens. Become a crustacean and utilise the unique puzzle-crawler grid-based meat systems.

Explore: The decaying town where the sinews of ruined buildings throb while grotesque beings beckon you to the alleys.
Unravel: The lurching cryptograms of the Navicula Meatus, become entangled in the cumbersome user interface.
Bereft of Guidance: Human language has been surgically removed from the experience. Fun and gameplay have also been excised to allow for pure streamlined immersion.
Unstable Surroundings: The meat-glue binding the world is fragile so repeated playthroughs will present new disfigurements, including:
The Flute Boy: A wretched street urchin whose amusing melodies will thrill you as you linger, soaked in the sublime ambience.

Тисну розробнику руку, непошкодував жодної копійки. True madness. Гра побудована на вашій здібності інтуїтивно орієнтуватись в абсолютно незрозумілому сюрреалістичному світі. Девід Лінч земля йому пухом оцінив би.
The art style is cool and I like the idea of not being able to understand the UI. That's where the positives end though; it's pretty boring. I mean, it's not really even a puzzle game. You just go around showing your meatus to people and if they appreciate the particular meatus you have out, they will remove themselves from your path so that you can progress the game. The difficulty is pretty much solely derived from the poor graphics making it difficult to tell which meatus you need to show a particular NPC. You can get around this by just brute forcing an NPC and showing them all your items though. I think it's possible to softlock yourself too, which is not appreciated, but by the time I figured this out I was already uninterested in progressing further. The game is certainly not worth $6 but maybe souls fans who enjoy convoluted games will like this on sale.

Why watch the news when you can watch your cutlet rotating so gracefully.
This game helped me learn what's in hot dogs.
Aesthetically it's amazing, the bizarre visual style is absolutely the stand out element and is definitely something you need to be on board with to enjoy this. The basic concept of the game giving you nothing and requiring that you figure out even basic things entirely through context clues is a really interesting idea that generally works really well. However, some of the puzzles in the later parts of the game get a bit strange in a way where it's honestly hard to know what you're even trying to accomplish and it can get frustrating at times. There's a guide posted by the developer that links to a site with various hints about the game and I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're struggling at any point. In a game like this it's really easy to get your mind hooked on an idea and completely miss what the game actually wants from you, so while having hints doesn't feel ideal it's nice that the developer at least gives you that option. Overall it's a really cool and unique game and I'd definitely recommend it as long as the art style works for you.
Had a lot of fun with this one! There's a fun progression from "i literally do not know what the controls are" to "I now do not know where my goal is" to "understood, i can navigate meat-town as if it is my own backyard". I found two late-game puzzles quite obtuse (and admittedly had to use hints!), but for the most part the learning feels natural and compelling, enough to make me gladly hunt down all of the achievements. The art is delightfully weird, a little gross, and very unique. If you're in the mood for a short but compelling little adventure game and you don't mind being confused for a while, check this one out! PS: navicula meatus
It's stylish but I don't really feel like it's much of a puzzle game or an exploration game. You just sort of do fetch quests and try to figure out which NPC to talk to next.
This game is a very cool with it's atmosphere & puzzles focus! I am big into games what are obscure and weird so I definitely recommend it if you are looking for something weird, interesting, and different than other games!
would be a perfect puzzle game if not for the possibility of softlocking yourself
haven't sat down and enjoyed a game in a while this one was worth the few hours spent on it for sure
