Yeah, this is fun. Your mileage may vary depending if you like the show, but the series are just cozy. The music, the ambiance. The gameplay is a simple fighting game, with like a few difficult curveballs thrown in the end. Late game missions can be as difficult as some fights in Elden Ring and Dark Souls but like 2 of them, the rest of the game is just family friendly fun for all ages. Now, every game in the series is different in some way or the other. This one focuses on exploring Konoha, not exactly an open world type of game, it is quite short and it goes through the Chunin Exams, all the way to the Sasuke Retrieval Mission. The reason why Haku isn't in this one despite being the first in the series is because the previous PS2 titles did that part, so this is like a sequel to the PS2 games. There is some mild grinding required to reach the end then you need to take on some challenges to reach the full ending but it takes less than 40 hours to fully complete with everything. All in all, it is short and sweet and if you like the source material, more power to you.
While I enjoyed the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, and have always wanted to own all four for nostalgic purposes, I realize now I never actually played the original Ultimate Ninja Storm. I went from Ultimate Ninja 3 to Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 in order to catch up on the story of Naruto. Anyway, I play this game now as an adult and I have to be honest It kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. The open world is clunky and kinda bland, the way it goes about telling the story of the first part of Naruto is by having a series of missions you have to do in order to earn mission xp to do story missions. These are often minigames or other fights with special conditions. This leads to doing a lot of fights I don't care about in order to experience story content. Story content that SKIPS THE LAND OF WAVES ARC ENTIRELY. Which is unforgiveable. You also have to find upgrades in the open world. Which is again, not interesting. I will probably play this to completion to just because I have no girlfriend and nothing else to really do with my time outside of work right now and because I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love Naruto.
Really fun game. I watched the whole anime this 2026 and I wanted to find some Naruto games that are fun and I sure did. Awesome game!!
Каким надо быть конечным чтобы такое тупое управление делать. И эти тупорылые мисии с бесконечным нажатием кнопок
If you have an Xbox 360 do your self a favor do not buy this game and buy Naruto Broken Bond is a way better game that tell the story of the first gen in a much better way and in a way more fun adventure way. Anyway we are not here to talk about Naruto Broken But naruto storm 1. The game has beautiful animation and some fun mechanic but way to simplified and can barely do any different combo (compared to broken bond sorry i did it again lol) First of all before you purchase this game i encoutered a couple issue before i was able to play. First you will need to download c++ Visual studio 2013 on microsoft website otherwise the game will not launch on steam. Second Issue i had after fixing the first issue is that i had no game sound.. To fix this you need to download directX Runtime something you should be able to find your information on internet. The last issue i had was razer synapse fault but it was making my keyboard look like a controller so it was not letting me map or move out of the controller mapping mode so i uninstall razer synapse 4 (not naruto fault but through was worth mentioning) Also beware some achievement also have issue you will need a second controller to be able to unlock them. Check online about that if you are an achievement hunter (i did 100% the game) :) Now lets talk about the game it self. The game look beautiful for his time and the gameplay is fun. But it is way to simplified there barely any combo you can do,there alots of jutsu animation which is fun to see cause they are beautiful. The story... IS REALLY REALLY BAD AND RUSHED. there only some story aat the end of every chapter and there alots of unaccurate lore in it. I did enjoy those cut scene but if we compare again to brokend bond which tell the full story in a good way this was a disaster. The music is really mediocer there some good soundtrack in the game but with all the naruto music that exist i was expect them to use you know naruto music and not just the same music over and over again when you are in the main city doing thing lol (was driving my wife crazy with the song) The big boss battle where fun not gonna lie i wish there was more than 3. Now for me my personal opinion on this i had a good time a lot of frustration too but i had fun i would not recommend this game to anyone but i did enjoy it regardless because i love naruto universe and had fun playing with orichimaru which you unlock only at the end. I Brought the 2,3 and storm 4 after playing that 1 because im telling my self if i enjoyed that 1 i will probably love the other 1 ( i heard they did a way better job in other storm) Personal Rating 4/10
Even if you REALLY love the Naruto franchise like me it's a really tough sell. THIS PORT IS ABSOLUTE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!! TLDR: Unless you actually want to experience "Early Storm" I'd skip straight to Storm 2 which has amazing boss fights and Storm 4/Connections which have infinitely better combat, visuals and more characters/mechanics. Also the combat is REALLY not at competitive level yet, even as a fighting game it's a questionable buy. Finally watch out 'cause the game doesn't have an auto-save, it's really stupid for a 2008 game... Combat: It's extremely unrefined but you can still have some fun with it, although it HAS to be locally or against a CPU since the game lacks online play in every way. Low level AIs are braindead to beat and higher level AIs have frame 0 reaction and spam substitution which is really not fun at all, they're never too hard to beat but it's certainly annoying, especially when you want the BS bonus points. Subs also feel extremely bad for both the comboer and the subber since they boil down to "spam block until you get away", no real skill or fun involved for most peple. Campaign: You are forced to play (mostly boring and repetitive) side missions to get "Mission XP" to play through the story, the lower level missions are boring and braindead and in the higher levels the AI straigh up cheats with frame 0 reaction, also they have boosted stats a lot of the time which feels extremely cheap. There are some mini-games but they are really unrefined, sometimes unfair and just decent at best. The Rings one is super fun though, it's a shame there are 6 Konohamaru hide'n'seeks but only around 5 of the rings. Extra Mentions: Konoha is probably the main thing people want out of this game, it's pretty fun but it's really not worth it, the parkour while not bad it's pretty janky and annoying sometimes. You can grab some collectibles for 1 bonus jutsu for every character and food items but I still wouldn't say it makes it worth it since they're really easy to get, after you get them there's really not much to do around Konoha.
Incredibly boring and the whole game is just useless side quest after useless side quest.
