I admit I haven't spent much time on NARGUL - Humans are among us, but from the first session I immediately realized that the level of entertainment in this game is high enough. You start as an alien who has lost his memory for a while, you wake up in a toilet in a queue next to an intergalactic disco, if this wasn't a humorous start, just wait until you can see your kid's tiny alien butt-cheeks. Watch my first gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw5dkVI6m9Q being an alien in a vr game is not something you often come across and that brings in itself although I thought it was an interesting concept to give the game a try. So you will always have to enter into dialogues with other aliens to get instructions for the assignments you have to do, sometimes I missed an indication way to specifically steer me in the right direction, it is therefore important that you stay attentive to the dialogues to avoid aimless walks, if you really try to talk to everyone you will occasionally get extra hints or hidden jokes. There is also an absurd but fun-to-be-in, alien world atmosphere that I could relate to.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/uYCVd1OjQ_g There's really no way to sugarcoat this. There are a lot of negatives that come with playing this game. It has a lot of issues from poor optimization to graphical glitches to poor VR interactions to encountering several bugs on top of the overall jank to the game and the basic gameplay. The combat is not good. The puzzles are mostly fetch quests or finding a button to push somewhere and the platforming is kind of basic. Despite all the negatives, I highly recommend this game. Why? Well, because this is a very unique, quirky, alien, narrative-driven game that is a joy to explore. It is a game that will stand out in my memory for years to come. It is simply a magical VR experience. This is why I love VR. This game literally takes you to an alien world. A world that is lovingly crafted, full of detail, & with a narrative that is humorous and also filled with info from real-world evens that keep the narrative grounded. I loved this game despite all the problems. I do hope all the issues get fixed, but even if they don't, I highly recommend this game and I am willing to put my reputation as a serious reviewer behind that recommendation. People who follow my reviews know that I do not hype up VR games. However, this game is special and a joy to experience. See my video review for a more detailed look on the positives and negatives of this experience. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting variable frame rates from 40-90 fps. I did experience several bugs, some of them serious, but nothing game-breaking. There's only graphical settings for high, medium, & low graphical settings. There's only full locomotion and snap turning available. You do have to play parts of this game standing because you cannot adjust height and some things are out of reach otherwise. There is no inventory system and it's really needed (other than sheathing your staff weapon). It took me 4 hours to complete the game. I enjoyed the narrative. I loved exploring the world. This is just one of those games that really bring out how magical VR can be. It is done mostly by a solo dev. The dev is a keyboardist in a band & they did most of the original soundtrack here which is awesome. One of his friends did the alien gibberish (there are no real voiceovers) and he actually did a great job. This is just an amazing experience that I highly recommend. The whole is more than the sum of its parts. Just beware of all the negatives I mentioned. Rate 7/10.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. Played with the Vive Pro 2 and the Oculus Quest 2 and they played great on both headsets. Small learning curve to the controls. You seem to find yourself on a Quest and you mix and mingle with the Aliens. I have been told that this is based on true events and what you see is real. The Aliens are real and they live among us. 👽🛸 My doctor says I am getting better but I have lost my medication 🤪 Hope to see you at Area 51 👋
A short story about an alien. Casual and good for kids Pretty nice graphics - especially compared to a lot of other indie VR games, but poor optimization, so best played with a decent GPU. The music and the ambient 3D sound is good, although no (alien) voicing, just the same weird sound fx. Recommended if you have kids (something like 9-11 y old I would say), and if you are using at least an RTX 2080 Super.
Nargül – Humans are among us von 3DDDGames ist ein leicht durchgeknalltes Actionadventure. Schade. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
English: ------------------------------------> Nargül - Humans are among us by 3DDDGames is a slightly crazy action adventure game. Attention update after several hours of "fun"! Unfortunately, I won't be playing the game any further for a while. I'm at the recycling plant and the performance and level design at this point are simply frustrating. In addition, water and light effects still flicker and after the update neither snap nor smoothturn work. The menu button on the clock leads nowhere, the volume control cannot be selected, etc. ... So I'll put the review on thumbs down - short review still gets an informative because of the funny id So up we go and question the other naked inhabitants of the island. We get into a series of interesting and quite funny conversations and discover more and more of our story. But since the Trappisters all seem to be kind of hard-drinking and, above all, extremely lazy, they all have little tasks for us, which we first have to complete in order to learn something more about ourselves in the end or simply get the next task. So we quickly discover an extra-terrestrial "settlement" next to the nightclub. Did the aliens bring this drink to confuse us ....? So much for the story, which gets very crude and is really funny. Unfortunately, there are very few options. We can only adjust the graphics in four steps and regulate the sound. Unfortunately, that's about it. No movement or control options. A pity. Unfortunately, this makes the control of Nargül somewhat difficult to get used to. For example, there is no free rotation, only snapturn. That is a pity. Otherwise, I think the key assignment is well done. Putting running and jumping on A and B of the right controller is a good idea. Unfortunately, we can't switch hands, there is no explicit left-handed control. Plugging in and taking out the weapon to be found later in the backpack by tapping your own neck works great! The graphics are just about right. Unfortunately, there are always totally muddy textures to be seen. This was especially annoying on the Nasa lander. Unfortunately, the lander itself was not completely designed. Components simply floated next to the wall. A pity. Many other textures, however, are in suitable resolution. Unfortunately, despite the flora and fauna, the island is somehow sterile. But that may also be due to the fact that I, as a human being, only perceive the vegetation, which is alien to us, in this way. Since the planet revolves around a red dwarf, Nargül's whole scenario is of course a glorious red. Like a never-ending sunset. The sound is wonderful. If the NPCs all speak a well understandable Nargül, we can read the subtitles faded in in human English if necessary. Interaction in conversation works either by pressing a button or pointing a finger. The voices of the inhabitants are very funny. With time, you even think you can interpret something into them. Unfortunately, there are often problems with the soundscape, which either ends too abruptly or somehow still resonates even though we have already finished the scene. Nargül - Humans are among us is an interesting and funny idea, if you've always wanted to be an alien suffering from Alzheimer's disease on his home planet and find out what the funny Humans and their terrible music are all about, this is the right game for you! A fun adventure set in the Trappist system! 👀Of Red Dwarves and Human Aliens on my curator page.
Salut.
Bad CPU performance. I'm using a 12400F and the framerate dips to around 60fps. Unacceptable for a game with graphics that aren't really that good.
Simple fun game. Good graphics and runs smooth for me. Loving the alien atmosphere and exploring the world. Simple combat. Simple puzzles. Pretty good story so far. Given me a few good laughs. Has me hooked wanting to see how it goes and ends. Running Ryzen 9 3060ti 32gb ram on Pico 4
