This is one of the best games I have played on this platform. The story is very well written and the mythology well researched. I did find the tasks repetitive at times but still a very fun play through. Looking forward to more from these developers!
This is not a game you want to rush through, as from the get-go I enjoyed running around Ambrosia Island. Never lacking for something to do, I found myself often overwhelmed with possibilities, but in a positive, elated sort of way. Usually I’m not into achievements or collectibles, but in Mythwrecked they are central to the gameplay and highly rewarding, so addictive is that feeling of finding hidden items. The fetch quests themselves are satisfying to complete because they offer more lore about the world of these unusual gods without sifting through pages and pages of reading material. These Greek deities kept me entertained every step of the way, and this loveable bunch will no doubt steal your heart. I only wish the succinct revelations about them were linked to some actual puzzles, making the whole adventure more interactive than simply collecting things and returning them. Still, if you enjoy scavenging for lost items, doing so on a beautiful island filled with quirky Greek gods will keep you happily entertained for hours, feeling like your prayers have been answered. https://adventuregamehotspot.com/review/4106/mythwrecked-ambrosia-island
i didn't want to leave :(
This game feels like a relaxing vacation in the Mediterranean! The gentle colours and music are very soothing. I've got a ROG Ally and it plays perfectly on that with no configuring/customizing, a very smooth experience. A lovely game for winding down with. Give it a try for a change of pace!
I first played this game on Game Pass and it was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the sandbox style exploration. I decided to pick it up on Steam for a second playthrough and still find it a fun game to play. The gameplay loop is sandbox exploration combined with fetch quests for the characters. I found it an enjoyable loop and the game is in the 9-10 hour range so it doesn't overstay its welcome. The overall story and personality of the Gods you meet was fun, but the art style may be a turnoff for some. They went for some rather extreme interpretations of the Greek Gods. Despite this I found the game fun to play through. It is a nice cozy experience. I also recommend this developer's previous game Roki. For people playing on a handheld, this game runs perfectly at 15 watts and is a fun one to play with something like a Steam Deck.
Fun, uncomplicated game with a fun twist on Greek Mythology. The game is essentially a set of interleaved fetch quests with very simple puzzles thrown in. The framing device is a nice whathappen/whodunnit mystery that keeps the player engaged. I think this might be very fun for parents to play with their kids. I would've loved the mythology angle as a kid. The graphics are very well executed, I would say it's a near perfect implementation of the style; it must've taken a lot of trying and restraint to have the entire game looking so clean; especially the characters are immaculately rendered. Recommend for casual players who want an experience, not a challenge.
Absolutely loved this game! The vibe is really cool, the gameplay is pretty nice and I liked the twist on Greek mythology I 100%ed the achievements already, but I know I'll come back to play it again ^^
Very cute game, very cozy, and very calming.
