Meh..
There isn’t really much to see or review in this game, so this will be quick review before refund.
PROS

It’s an auto-battler and.. It works as an auto-battler would.

CONS

ART: It’s the most generic JRPGish art style ever. Nothing stands out. Not to mention, you won’t be playing this game on anything other than 4x speed, so you aren’t going to see anything anyway. Not sure this game even needs any visuals at this point (but I guess it won’t be much of anything then).
SOUND/MUSIC: Generic sound and music, nothing stands out. Combat sounds as boring as it looks.
STORY: Haha, no. Game pretends to have a story, but even that generic story is interrupted by game throwing in gameplay tips in the “RUMORS” section of the inns you buy stuff in.
UI/UX: Terrible. Can’t tell if it’s a mobile port or not, but it looks like one, down to the ugly UI buttons made pointlessly complicated. Wanna sell things? There is a garbage bin icon for that.. I think. There is an auto-loot option while the combat is going, when it’s done? There is no auto sell button. That makes sense, since you aren’t really doing anything but staring at sped-up toons fighting, might as well click the auto-loot button to pretend you did something.
CLASSES: Pointless. Classes are just level-ups with new abilities. You can level up and buy everything by replaying the last map of the first dungeon that gives 30k gold, over and over again. Do the same with a dungeon with higher payout. Why even bother replaying any other dungeon? Also, the class system is pointlessly complicated, a feature in these Korean/Japanese games for some reason. You have to buy generic units, level them up, then change classes. It adds nothing but pointless work that is not entertaining.
ACHIEVEMENTS: You’d think a game like this would be ripe for achievements, but this game has nine achievements, and they don’t work. Nice. Not to mention, the “achievements” are one of those “Congrats you cleared first level” nonsense.
WEBSITE: I like checking websites of game developers, especially indie devs. I found it funny that the website for Dotomchi Games is not only unfinished like the game, but gives a "Please prove that you are human." message that can't be proven alongside being not secure (no https).
TLDR;
After Loop Hero, I wanted to try more such games. Auto battlers can be fun, but this ain’t the one. Now, auto-battle your way to my curator page and join it. Just and idle combat simulation
disappointed to come back to the game after not playing it for a long while only to find it had been pulled from steam and, far as I can tell from the update history, was never even patched to 1.0. no announcement post or going away message or other communication. advising against getting anything from this publisher in the future unless they are more transparent about their actions.
This was a lot more fun than it had any right to be as a PC port of a mobile game with all of the pay to win portions removed. It's an autobattler, with unit advancement and positioning as your primary input, though I should note that it includes a gambit system to prioritize actions as well. There are a lot of interesting classes and skills to unlock, which are very rewarding for a time. Eventually it becomes too much of a slog, even on the fastest combat speed, but this was more than worth the couple of dollars I paid for it.
A perfectly balanced game with no way to exploit it whatsoever, like any other game where you can spec every unit into absolutely every class and skill, and all you need is money to do it. With combat this inevitable, it is a great thing they made it an autobattler. Fortunately the graphics are good enough to make me curious what classes I have yet to unlock look like. And the price is great for the quality. I focused on my four starting units and now they are absolutely able to wreck anything we encounter. I also wish they had female units but it seems all of them are male.
