My Universe - Pet Clinic Cats & Dogs

I can't recommend this game to anyone unless you crave mediocre pet games and you've played plenty of them before and know what to expect. Not being sarcastic, I wanted to play a mediocre pet game--mainly the biggest pro this game has is that it's a current-gen game I can run reliably whenever I want from Steam on PC (most of the CD-ROM-era pet games I love are, y'know, harder to get running in 2021). But yeah, -Is this game educational? No, it's very low-effort in that area. It feels like a quarter of your patients are just scared and then you pet them and tell the owner "there was nothing wrong :) you can go home now." -Is this game entertaining for kids? I doubt it. It's very repetitive, there wasn't much thought put into the game activities, they've incredibly simple and you have to do them over and over and over again. I can see a kid getting bored pretty fast. -Are the pets cute? Yeah, for the most part. The graphics are nice. Just a few hiccups (some of the 3D models have issues, like the pawpads and eyelids being wonky on some critters). Environments look good, UI is well designed. Really the biggest issue here is just not enough time was spent in the crucial initial design phase of making this game more compelling and not just a cash grab marketed to players who like pets. I don't really regret buying it (on sale), but it sucks knowing that the time commitment to unlocking surgery--maybe that's finally a little more interesting?--feels like miles away for me, even though I've put in about 5 hours of repetitive gameplay that feels more than this game deserves. Yes, it has some bugs, too, but less than I'd expect, so that's good. I could go on, but this game needed a solid critique ages ago during development, not after release. If you REALLY wanna play this game, yeah, go ahead, just don't get your hopes up. If you have a home console like the Switch you might even be able to find a copy at your local library. Or maybe try to find it in a bargain bin. I don't think this game's developer is hopeless, but I really hope they try to put some more thought and effort into their future games.

If there is a perfect game for kids, that has wholesome fun, adorable animals, simple game play, and a whole lot of heart, well this is pretty darn close. Taking care of animals is a big responsibility, and I'd go as far as to say that kids could benefit from playing through this before getting a pet. It's important to know that in between the great times you have with your pet, there are repetitive chores that need done. Every day. For years. I know when I look at my cats, I can see the pure and honest love in their eyes. Even though I know that love is for food, and not me, I like to pretend that they care. Even when I'm being smacked in the face at 3 AM because the bowls are empty, I smile to myself, treasuring my furry little friends. It wasn't always like that though. Having pets takes patience, and I've had to make small but meaningful adjustments to be a better cat owner. I play a lot of mouse only games because there is usually a cat on my lap and one on my head. I take a lot of Zoloft so that I can sit quietly with a cat on my head, and I've taken to sleeping at work, because the cats won't let me do it at home. The joy that I get in return makes it all worthwhile though, and, oh. They're coming this way. I gotta go. Where's my Zoloft?

It's a cute game but it's a pain in the backside. Rating for me, about 5/10. Right down the middle and only if you get it on sale. Don't buy this full price. You'll regret it. Trimming the nails on pets will be difficult to line up. :( Every time you pet them, they "bark bark bark bark" or "meow meow meow meow" until it's not cute anymore and it's plain annoying. Some of the mini games feel tedious and some of the keys are not nearby. To pet an animal you have to hit p (far right side of keyboard) though you may be using mouse to navigate and click things. Makes it a bit of a nuisance. If this is made for younger kids, they may struggle a bit with aiming because there's no indicator for where you are using your tool. Otherwise I found it cute and could be helpful in keeping the mind sharp on a younger person or an adult who just wants something cutesy. lol (me) If we had the ability to move the pet the animal key, and the mini games weren't so tedious, I'd love this. The visuals are beautiful. The animals adorable. Just needs some love & a bit of work. Since it's been out since 2020, I don't know if they'll be doing that. This is not a $25.00 game (In my humble opinion). But for $5.00 it may be worth it :) I can't believe it's a $25.00 game though. That's pretty high for what you get to do and such. Go for a sale~!

Игра не стоит своих денег. Она очень затянута, однообразные лечебные действия очень надоедают, быстро становится скучно и неинтересно играть. ничего не помогает разнообразить приёмы лечения - ни улучшение кабинетов ни постройка новых. Клиника очень маленькая и ей требуются расширения, которых нет.

This game feels very repetitive, like I'm doing the same treatments to the animals. Also, I feel the controls are a bit weird, I will try to move my character one way and she'll go in a different direction. I'll finish it very slowly to get the achievements because it is a bit boring

I don't even know what to say about this game, I bought it because I was looking for something with a medical/veterinary theme to play at night. This game has become my insomniac routine. It's really repetitive, so if you have no patience or get bored easily, don't even try it . Sometimes the dialogue between the characters is the same, e.g. grandfather "Dr Henry" talks twice about the vinegar option. I thought it might be his character, because he's old and getting forgetful, but Hannah also talks twice about another subject. Moving the character is a pain, it's like me walking at night after not sleeping for days xD For 100% the game it took me about 18h. The most fun part is doing brain scans and X-rays. Ce Jeu est devenu ma routine d'insomniaque. Il est vraiment répétitif, donc si vous n'avez pas de patience ou si vous vous ennuyez facilement, ne l'essayez même pas . Parfois le dialogue entre les personnages est le même, par exemple le grand-père ''Dr Henry'' parle deux fois de l'option vinaigre. J'ai pensé que c'était peut-être son personnage, car il est âgé et devient étourdi, mais Hannah parle aussi deux fois du même sujet. Pour bouger le perso c'est une horreur, on dirait moi qui marche la nuit après ne pas avoir dormi pendant plusieurs jours xD Pour 100% le Jeu il m'a fallu environ 18h. La partie la plus sympa est de faire des scans cérébraux et des radios. N'achetez pas ce jeu au prix fort vous allez être déçu. £4

this game... i would not even class this disaster as a game. what its done to my life is disgusting my little boy timmy wakes every morning to play this. this thing. i thought all was ok until i saw how he was touching the dog... his dad would be turning in his grave.

Chill, Family Friendly, Cute Creatives, Soothing and not getting bored of this game easily. a must try game for Paws lovers as well.
