I'm going to be very honest here. I don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol. But if there's one thing I'm lowkey addicted to—then it's pure speed. I ended up blasting through my first 3 hours in a single session that actually started with a "well, let's see what this is about" and ended with a "guess I'm addicted now". The gameplay and music combi honestly gives me the craziest zen. Trying to 100% it now. It’s about to be pure pain, but I’m pretty confident about that challenge. We urgently need a sequel or expanded DLC—so simple, yet so good. Highly recommended for all speed demons and adrenaline junkies out there.
LOWLIGHT always scores big with its games, and BEERCRUSH is no exception. You play as John Beer as you control his Him to the location of Wherever, in order to reach the lair of the mysterious and quite spooky Big Beer. Big Beer will be, by far, the most AWESOME villain you'll ever encounter in ANY video game. It will remind you of Robert Rodriguez's Mr. Electric.

If the world is against BEERCRUSH, I'm against the world. If BEERCRUSH has no fans, I'm dead. On a serious note, this is genuinely one of the greatest runner games I have ever played. Simple controls that feel natural while also allowing for fast paced, fluid movement. Worlds that are challenging yet balanced
(yes, even city to an extent)
in addition to being unique from one another and having pretty cool alternate variants. The drinking minigames are fun to engage in and fit the world they're located in while also allowing you to redirect yourself once regular gameplay resumes, making the different gameplay styles work together surprising well. The roguelike elements help to bring much needed variety while not being intrusive on the core runner gameplay. In case that wasn't enough, there are 6 game modes, including a faster, runner gameplay only mode, a WarioWare-like mode and an endless mode that quickly ramps up in difficulty. The game also has mod support through the Steam Workshop. The game's presentation hits hard, with the graphics being simple yet charming and easy on the eyes. The shaders, camera effects, particles and sound effects all make the game feel super responsive and alive. The soundtrack? HOLY CRAP! Absolute ear heaven! It rivals the video game OST greats like Pizza Tower and Sonic Mania. The game even has some lore to it, with John Beer (the player character) being a divorced alcoholic who tries to stop his alcohol addiction from further ruining his life. To top it off, the game features optional voice acting for the shop intermissions between worlds. It reminds me of the Chaos Wars English dub in the best possible way, as the crude VA work actually fits the crude style of the game and was likely done by one of the 2 developers on this game. Yes, the game was created by only 2 developers, with both of them being students who created this game for a university game jam. Pretty cool, right? However, I do have some minor issues, such as the pool of bottlecaps being quite small
(only 19 caps, of which 16 are accessible through standard means)
, the difficulty occasionally spiking at certain worlds and the act of falling into the void being an instant death, which can be quite off putting for first time players, though it does make sense as it prevents the worlds that feature the void from being easily cheesed. To conclude, this is a phenomenal game that everyone must try at least once, especially when its full price is only a little over 4 quid. It's one of the very few games where I would recommend paying full price instead of waiting around for a sale. To dragonsploder and pretzol, thank you for creating BEERCRUSH, it's seriously one of the most fun games I have ever played, even during the moments where I rage. I hope this game becomes popular one day and I wish you two the best for any future projects. To everyone else, TLDR: BEERCRUSH is a healthy alternative to actually drinking beer and you should play it.

Accurate friday night simulator
The fastest, most adrenaline-pumping beer-pouring simulator I've ever played, an absolute masterpiece - 11/10
А мне жена дороже пива
Great soundtrack and is just overall a lot of fun. Currently aiming to complete all of the achievements and challenges
reminds me of flash games in the best way possible. no metaprogression arcade-style runner that's just you and your skills and a fistful of bottlecaps against increasingly brutal levels that manage to keep you on your toes even on repeat runs. music bangs UNBELIEVABLY HARD go ahead, enjoy life
