This game content tons of the mini-game and most important they are all free.

Pros: Sleek Menu Interface, Default Rock Name is Rocky (Like from Spongebob), Good Value for eight mini games, Character Customization and leveling. Cons: Minor Bugs and Glitches. Some mini-games feel unbalanced in their difficulty. Overall Rating: Don't take this game for granite. I lava it so far.

"My Pet Rock" is a collection of mediocre, low effort minigames (endless runners etc etc). The kind of thing my grandmother used to call "one minute wonders", but at least this stuff doesn't seem like asset flips or cash grabs. Mediocre, but at least sincere and genuinely made. Unfortunately good intentions alone don't guarantee a great PC gaming experience. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $2 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
