«My Jigsaw Adventures - The Source of Power»
Изображения не имеют четких очертаний и ярких элементов, поэтому собирать их даже взрослым будет сложно уже при разбивке на 112 частей с настроенным трафаретом, контуром и сеткой. my jigsaw adventures: the source of power is the 3rd entry in a story-based jigsaw series. since I'm not keen on this puzzle type but love sci-fi, I was glad the stories are not connected, so I could jump into the only one I was somewhat interested in. the story is told before and after the 20 diary levels (no time limit, unlimited hints), and additional bits can be gathered from 10 data levels (no timer, no hints, 10 minutes to solve a 60-piece puzzle) and 15 testimony levels (no timer, no hints, each has different characteristics, pieces can move around, have to be rotated, etc.). each mode is unlocked from the start, but only the first levels, have to go one by one. size on story levels can be as few as 28 pieces or as many as 1000 (other options are 112, 220 and 500), but I was only interested in how things work and the story, so went easy mode, didn't want to spend hours on each puzzle. controls are straightforward, mouse wheel and the +/- keys zoom in/out, zoom speed can be changed, and I really liked that parts of the puzzle can be assembled anywhere on the screen and they'll stick together, though it might be standard practice in such titles. holding right click moves the level around, but right clicking a puzzle piece moves that when it shouldn't. customization options are plentiful. pieces can have 3 shapes (traditional, mosaic or arrow), 3 types of outline (soft, medium, hard), and within the border you can display a customizable grid or the final image you're trying to solve. the background can show either various parts of the current puzzle really zoomed in (blurry or sharp, doesn't look good either way), or just a single color of your choice, set by red/green/blue sliders. a few preset options would be useful here, but at least there's a preview to see what you're mixing up. puzzle piece placement at the start can also be set, but even distributing them on all four sides they'll be grouped together and there's already some busywork with 28 pieces, let alone with 1000. sure, it works like that in real life as well, but I don't see the point of replicating this aspect in a digital version. maybe there could be a social distance button to automatically and immediately separate pieces. the timer can be hidden even on timed levels and shuffle is available. not sure why you'd want to do it after going through all the sorting though, plus there's no confirmation, only before restarting a level. I can easily see this as a problem, even if buttons have tooltips. on the upside, progress is saved continuously, so you can stop anytime without losing progress. the images and the music are excellent, the story's not worth mentioning, very poorly written. separate volume settings anywhere, language options, in-game representation of achievements and windowed mode only in the main menu, though alt+enter produces a resizable window at least. the ui is a bit amateurish-looking, buttons covering things, plus some images have blue bars on the top and bottom as if they're not the right size. there's a gallery, as expected, but every image is visible from the start, even if only in black & white, spoiling things. you can grab them to use as wallpapers, another standard feature. I'm not sure if 4 eur for 45 puzzles is a good deal or not in jigsaw-land, but sounds good enough to me, especially with about half of them optionally cut into 1000 pieces. it launched with many small issues that mostly got dealt with fast, so it's an easy recommendation now.
My Jigsaw Adventures – The Source of Power
Time to take a break from murder, mayhem, action and mind-numbing adventure puzzles? Do a jigsaw; kick back and relax with it. Cold Coffee Studios has released another family friendly, very polished game with hand drawn art. This takes place in space, and then on to a post-apocalyptic Earth. Music was quite good, fitting of the scene it was in. With each puzzle you play more of the story is unlocked. The locations are interesting and different. Each jigsaw is tailored to the part of the story you are in. You can make this as easy or difficult as you like: Timed or un-timed challenges, you can vary the background, the number of pieces you play with (28-1000), even the shape of the pieces! If you really want a challenge go into mosaic mode! This game has great options, including: Puzzle shape can be traditional, mosaic, or arrow Timed or untimed Windowed/Fullscreen Music: on/off 28, 112, 220. 500, 1000 pieces! Zooming! You can zoom with the mouse wheel, very handy in the bigger puzzle modes. 33 Achievements 33 puzzles! The game autosaves quite nicely, you can exit mid-puzzle and when you restart your pieces will be as you left them. This review is based on four hours of play.
Puzzles... In... Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!!! My Jigsaw Adventures - The Source of Power is the third in the MJA series. Each can be played out of order. Took me 13 hours to get through all the puzzles (I varied how big each 'diary' puzzle was so it could take you much longer) and 100% achievements. There are 45 puzzles total. Difficulty is Medium to easy, depending on how big the puzzle is. Used a mouse. This is by far my fav game in the series so far. This installment of MJA takes on SPACE! And the story teller has tons of character. The art is still fabulous and extremely varied, from cities to aliens they come across, to mysterious planets and space crafts. Really runs the whole gamut on various art pictures. On top of that, the space soundtrack is really good and is pretty awesome to listen to. The whole layout is upgraded to really give you that futuristic spacey feel. You really can't go wrong with this one. Are you stressed out and just want to chill? This game has... Puzzles! There are 15 story puzzles, 15 'testimonial' puzzles (which are pretty random in size and style), and 15 'Archive' puzzles (which are the easiest of the group but the art is pretty random.) Like the previous games, there are also three styles of puzzle piece, from 'standard' to 'square' to 'arrow'. Once you beat the game, the spiffy art can be downloaded on the main menu, and is organized by groups of 15 (3 groups total). The music can be purchased on the store page. The game will offer to save your progress if you need to turn it off before a puzzle is complete! All of my minor nitpicky probs with previous MJA titles have pretty much been fixed. The only two that stood out were: 1, After playing a Testimonial puzzle that required right-clicking to rotate pieces, then going back to menu and playing a Diary puzzle, said Diary puzzle suddenly had the right-click rotation feature (otherwise the pieces were normally stationary). I couldn't find a way to manually turn rotation off. 2. While the menu has filters to clean up what kind of puzzles you want to play, you continually have to go to the menu and scroll down the list if you want to play what the recently unlocked order is, which switches from Diary to Testimonial to Archive. I wish the 'current' or recently unlocked puzzles were immediately clickable from the menu when you start the game up again on first play-through without having to scroll down. This is only a problem if you are OCD about going back to the menu to select puzzles instead of hitting 'next puzzle' on the completion screen, but then that would take you to the next puzzle of the same type (Finished Testimonial would lead you to the next Testimonial instead of the next Archive or Diary.) The latter of the two problems is nitpickery at its finest, and wont ruin the game for you whatsoever. The former might bug you if you want to be super varied in how you play, especially if you want to play a 1,000 piece puzzle =P . Either or, neither is a deal breaker. In conclusion, If you like puzzles get this game. I love everything CCS makes. Not only do you get 45 awesome puzzles, you also can dl the art and buy the music. And the puzzles tell a space epic! So much coolness! So much Scifinery! So much win.
It is a nice jigsaw game with 45 puzzles to solve. Some you can customize a bit (the piece count and the piece shape), some you just get to play as they are. Piece counts vary between 28 and 1000. Linux version of the game works without any issues.
Absolutely adore the jigsaw puzzle games by this developer (also completed the first two entries of the "My Jigsaw Adventures" - series and loved them) and was super excited to play this 3rd entry of the series. The stories are not connected so each game can be played as a standalone, but if you love jigsaw puzzles I'd highly recommend playing them all :D + The artwork is beautiful and really detailed + Soundtrack is great + Story was interesting to follow along, was excited to finish each puzzle and see what happens next + Great customization options: choose the amount of puzzle pieces (28, 112, 220, 500 or 1000), background color and puzzle piece shape + Puzzle pieces are clustered in the beginning (some may say that this is a negative point, but I like it since I tend to sort my pieces by color - especially when there are 220 or more pieces - and that's a lot easier when there is space around the puzzle :>) + 100% of the achievements are attainable by playing and completing the game + 45 different puzzles + Challenge mode (where you don't know what new challenge the puzzle may throw at you
(May involve shuffeling, rotating pieces, black-and-white or different shapes
) + Great art gallery + Good replayability, just start the game, select your favorite puzzle and get going :D Some things I didn't like as much (but still let me enjoy the game): - Fitting the space theme some puzzles had a lot of grey or at least a lot of the same color, which made them quite a challenge to complete (using 220 pieces or more) - I just wished for a little bit more color differences, e.g. a spark of green or blue sometimes - Some of my favorite pictures of this game are locked behind challenge mode and therefore are locked at 60 pieces and a timer, so sadly they are not playable in "normal mode" with different amounts of pieces and no time pressure :/ 09/10, would totally recommend! :)
Calme et reposant, un bon jeu pour les gens qui ont envie de se détendre. Les illustrations sont vraiment chouette et les petits textes d'ambiances donnent envie d'aller plus loin.
