My Fantastic Ranch: Unicorns & Dragons

I have given this game so much time to redeem itself, although in the end it's just not worth it. I got this game in hopes my 11 year old niece (she loves horses) would be interested. She took one look and said it looked like a kids game so she wouldn't be playing it. *Palm to forehead* I forgot 11 year olds were adults :I I am going to review this based off of what it is. This is a simple management game about owning a ranch of dragons and horses. Kids come to your ranch and eventually enroll in your riding program. This is a very easy (almost plays itself) kind of game. Nothing is difficult and you can complete every quest with almost no effort. I had everything unlocked in the game when I was at 2.9 hours except the last area. The last area will not unlock for me. I complete every quest as it comes up and still after almost 3 hours, nothing. I am also stuck on my 2nd Challenge tournament. The first one I had zero problems, yet the second won't end. I have always been on full hype and completed every quest. It's been hours (literally almost 3) and all of the NPCs just look bugged in the arena. I have tried to get help online, but this is obviously a release and abandon game. Discussion and community forums are pretty much non existent. Unless this game gets a huge UI overhaul with a large free content update, do not waste your money. It's a $30 phone game that was released on PC and console. If they only fixed the bugs (some achievements won't pop either) I would value this game around $5. There just isn't a lot to the game unfortunately. There are plenty of games worth $30....this is definitely not one of them.

Overall I did enjoy My Fantastic Ranch as the art style is very cute and I love dragons and unicorns! The management mechanics are simple and not overwhelming. But I would recommend purchasing the game when it goes on sale. For those that are interested, here are some of my further opinions/thoughts about the game: I do feel the game is expensive. At time of this review the game is not completed. If you follow the objectives you will eventually get told this, and I was unable to access some of the higher tier contests (unless I am missing something but it is not obvious? Since there are steam trophies available). Yet the game is not stated as Early Access, and people on console are expected to pay over £30 for this game. The graphics are bright and appealing. The dragons and unicorns are very cute and there is a lot of skin varieties. I was disappointed there is a creature cap because I would of liked to collect every skin type for my ranch. Your ranch is incredibly huge that currently the amount of space is unnecessary for the content that is available. It would be nice to have filter options to easily find creatures/riders with specific traits. Your progression is soft locked behind completing objectives which I found a bit frustrating. I did encounter a few bugs - paths not showing, creatures stuck in training rings when the lesson finished, creatures/riders/staff saying path is blocked, silly behaviour is occurring but the culprit cannot be found! But saving and reloading did resolve my issues. I really hope they will add more content to this game in the future.

It is a absolutely a SCAM. Do not buy this for yourself, your kids or anyone, this game hard blocks you from progressing after 2 hours of play (meaning you CAN NOT play after 2 hours, literally can not progress) It is worth the price of free not 30 bucks. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, IT IS A SCAM.

My Fantastic Ranch is a game that seems like an enjoyable experience training dragons and unicorns on your own ranch. However, it falls short of delivering on that fantasy. The reports provided in the game are detailed and well-presented with graphs, which is a plus for someone like me who loves city-building games like Sim City and City Skylines. While the voiceovers are well-done and the background music is chill, the game needs fixing. The paths in the game are invisible, which makes decorating and customizing your ranch difficult. There are no tooltips when hovering over items, which can make it difficult to understand the game's mechanics. Additionally, while upgrading the ranch does give a sense of achievement, the game feels repetitive and methodical. The game lacks automation for tasks which makes it feels tedious. Also, the creatures' statistics are random, leaving no room for strategy. Overall, My Fantastic Ranch could have been a fun and engaging game, but instead, it feels like a chore to play.

I am so happy I found this adorable little game! I really enjoy managing a cute, fantasy-themed ranch riddled with adorable ponies and dragons. I am not too far into my own ranch progression yet (I am currently doing the story mode, but there is a creative mode where you can do anything you would like) but am loving what I have done so far. If you like tycoon-like games but maybe wish they had a more wholesome theme or that they were more casual, this is a great time-passer. My only qualms with the game right now are some bugs (path-placing can be a bit weird sometimes) and lack of species. I do hope they add more animals, but I am honestly happy with the fantasy horses (UNICORNS!) and dragons. The art is really cute and I love how shimmery the animals look. The game feels almost nostalgic... like something I would have played as a little girl. If you want a wholesome game that will help you pass time and relax, this one is a gem.

It's a nice idea and all but the execution is just... meh. If you've done the first tier of everything (stable + house + arena), you've really done them all - it's just different textures at that point. That, in and of itself, would be forgiveable for what the game is - but combine it with quite tedious and janky controls and you got yourself underwhelmed carpal tunnel by the end I don't expect much from games like these - I play them to turn my head off and just chill out for a bit. Because of that, I've played many games like this and this is one you can skip without missing out.

Si tu lis cela, tu es un daron ou une daronne, ou alors très kawaï. Je colle un pouce rouge à cette gestion de ranch : fantastique, c'est vite dit, car en 5h la petite de 6 ans et moi avions plié le jeu. Il n'est pas nul : destiné à un(e) enfant de 4 à 8 ans, c'est une initiation au genre. Habitude de cliquage, entretien/entraînement des créatures, ressources à gérer, quêtes à accomplir. Ma fille a adoré. De plus, les enfants aiment refaire leurs jeux : on est donc repartis pour un tour. Mais quand on voit le prix actuel de 29€, et encore plus cher sur console, pour si peu de contenu, il faut le signaler aux parents. Personnellement je l'ai choppé sur un site tiers pour 8€. Ce que je considère comme son tarif raisonnable. Il n'y a ni personnalisation des créatures ou des dresseurs & employés, aucune option pour changer des couleurs, ou des formes. C'est le vide aussi du côté des soins apportés au ranch (automatique si on a construit les bonnes stations). C'est avant tout un jeu de clic répétitif où l'on va effectuer des entraînements par dizaines, centaines, en boucle. Rien de transcendant. C'est un titre dont on fait très vite le tour, et qui pouvait offrir pourtant tellement plus. Il suffisait de nous laisser mettre un peu plus les mains dans le cambouis, enfin, dans le foin. On note des sons satisfaisants lors de la création et amélioration des bâtiments, de jolies couleurs, et un jeu fluide, qui tourne bien malgré une caméra vomito. C'est le grand point positif pour moi, car son discours était à la fois adorable aux oreilles de ma fille, et forcément drôle aux miennes (tant c'est exagéré). Arrivés au niveau 10, elle nous a gentiment expliqué que le jeu était fini, mais qu'on pouvait continuer encore si ça nous amusait. Moi non, mais ma soeurette oui. Pouce rouge pour donner mon avis, mais si vous êtes pété(e) de thunes ou s'il tombe en grosses soldes, My Fantastic Ranch fera son effet, le temps d'un week-end. En revanche, pour un vrai émerveillement de plus long terme, c'est pas ici... ça s'appelle Horse Club Adventures 2 : Hazelwood Stories.

Ufak bir ilk bakış yorumu yapayım, öncelikle oyunun kendine has ve üzerine uğraşılmış bir sanat tasarımı var bu kısmı çok sevdim. Temelinde Stardew Valley gibi bir yapı olacağını sanmıştım ama daha çok Tycoon tarzı bir sihirli çiftlik yönetiyorsunuz. Krallıktan öğrenciler sizin eğittiğiniz ejderhaları ve unicornları görmeye geliyorlar. Böyle böyle bir theme park tadında ilerliyor. Özelleştirme seçenekleri biraz az geldi ama ilerleyen zamanlarda daha fazlası açılacaktır ben oynamaya devam edeceğim. Dekorasyon sayısının da artması gerekiyor, zamanla eklerlerse harika olur. Onun dışında oyunun bir de tamamen minecraft tarzı istediğinizi yapın modu var, sonsuz kaynak ile dilediğiniz çiftliğini yapabilirsiniz. Note for developers: Thanks for the review code! You did great job, as a newcomer tutorial was pretty good this is important this type of games. I think we need more decoration or diy mode. Maybe it'll be unlock in future. I do not recommend the game in its current state. Not for $30 dollars anyways. its a nice little iPad game really, just to mindlessly keep building until you cant anymore. if you're playing it on mouse and keyboard, i hope you have a scroll wheel. and if you do have a scroll wheel, i hope your carpel tunnel doesn't flare up. Most of the game is you connecting student to mythical creature for a "perfect Match" or something. It gets repetitive fast. But like i said its a nice little time waster. Even though when i try to put down pathing for my kingdom, the paths don't even show up. Get it on sale maybe. I'd .. id even wait for it to be $10 or under. I shouldn't have spent more, like i said not in its current state.

My Fantastic Ranch ist ganz süß gestaltet, mit Drachen und Einhörner. Das Game spielt sich sowie wie ein Handy Game oder Browser Farmspiele, was ich nicht schlecht finde, nur der Preis ist echt happig für 29,90 uff also im Rabatt kaufen ganz klar, aber man sollte trotzdem nicht so viel erwarten. Man kann seine Tiere zum Dressurreiten, Zielübungen Platz, Zirkus-Arena, Kunstflug Arena, Festival-Arena schicken, damit sie trainieren, es ist süß ihn zuzuschauen wie sie dort herumlaufen. Es gibt dinge die man bauen kann wie eine Sattelkammer, Stall, Büro, Scheune, Schlafsaal, Turnierclub kann man auch alles später ausbauen. Zum Dekorieren gibt es leider sehr wenig, nur 12 Gegenstände. Viel Platz gibt es im Game. Das finde ich gut und man kann auch neue gebiete freischalten durch Level und Quests. Was ich schade finde, man kann die Tiere nicht selbst pflegen, den das machen sie ganz von alleine auf der freien koppel. Ich hoffe das es noch mehr Updates zu dem spiel geben wird, weil ich mit ca. 3,6 stunden fast mit dem spiel fertig bin. Empfehlen würde ich es jetzt nicht, weil es mir zu wenig bietet für den Preis. Wenn aber noch einiges dazu kommen sollte, würde ich meine Meinung noch ändern.
