My Ex-Boyfriend the Space Tyrant

My Ex-Boyfriend the Space Tyrant is a short, entertaining point-and-click styled after the classics and it's full of witty banter and innuendo. The interface and presentation could use some refining but there's no serious flaws, it's just has a few quirks to get used to. The puzzles aren't too complex, although one completely stumped me and I had to search for a walkthrough. Later on I realized that the in-game "hint" button should be used liberally to save you from those inevitable "What should I do next?" moments. Lightly recommended, if only to support a gay game dev. I'll give Escape from Pleasure Planet a try next!

It's buggy as hell, so make sure you save your game often because there's no autosave and there are occasionally game-breaking bugs. I had to redo entire portions of the game twice because I forgot to save. The other thing is, the puzzles are obnoxious. Like, the game tells you what to do and then sticks its tongue out at you when you try it, like "how could you be so stupid as to think that would actually work?", and then you have to combine objects in unintuitive ways to complete the game. Like, I played Myst before playing this, and Myst was [i]easier[/i]. That said, I adored it. Cute and fun. (Still, the sequel is better)

Good game to passed time. I like this type of games: "Interaction-History-Decision", need to understand good situation to use items correctly. XD I played the same type of game, and i liked. The story is interesting. Sometimes, the game make us stay in stuck. Liked definitely. Highest recommended game.

Das Spiel hat mir ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Ja, hier und da gibt es Kleinigkeiten, die man hätte anders machen können [spoiler] Beispielsweise die Darstellung des Aufzuges[/spoiler] (aber die gibt es überall). Das Thema finde ich interessant, die Geschichte auch und dass es einen schwulen Hauptcharakter gibt freut mich. Außerdem bekommt das Spiel für die kleinen Randbemerkungen, in denen es sich über Spiele, Spieler*innen oder ganz allgemein lustig macht, ein Plus. Ein weiteres Plus jeweils für die tolle graphische Gestaltung und die grandiose Umsetzung, Das einzige, das mir nicht so gefallen hat, war das Ende: [spoiler] Ich hätte es begrüßt, wenn gezeigt worden wäre, dass Justin und der Hauptcharakter "boyfriends" werden.[/spoiler] Allerdings kann man durch die Entwicklung der Geschichte davon ausgehen, dass dem der Fall sein wird, und sie eine rosige Zukunft erwartet. Zusammengefasst: Meine Empfehlung: Kaufen, spielen und weiterempfehlen.
