It's a whimsical and fun affair filled with great looking boys and cheesy comments. A must play for a quick free afternoon accompanied with a gin-and-tonic.
There was some fun stuff, but all in all, I was bored until near the end. This is sad because the premise and title suggest that the story would be a lot of fun, but nope. The music and the background are good, and the characters have assets that are enjoyable to look at. The gameplay isn't the best, but it was fine, just fine. The biggest flaw though, and the reason for the thumbs down, is that it's a very short game. 2 hr to complete it. Buy it on a super sale, but otherwise pass.
Great game, a classic, throws you in as Tycho the former captain and you have to find out why Tycho's ex-boyfriend who he remembers as a sweetheart is now a tyrant taking over planets and killing innocents! BE AWARE!! The humor of this game is sexual and plays into stereotypes of LGBTQ+ from time to time but it's a very fun point and click especially if you want want tongue and cheek LGBTQ+ games to play!! It came out in 2012 and surprisingly still has a very worth it feel, a game that tells a pretty good story, although the second game (Escape from Pleasure Planet) does have a stronger story with more funny bits I do personally find worth it. To think this game came out about 13 years ago, it's surprisingly the only gay point and click I've found along with it's sequel!
Fun adventure with a few flaws. Lets start out with some flaws: it doesn't feel all great from a 'technical' point of view. I've encountered a few glitches, though none of them were really too bad, it's just that the controls and some of the animations feel a bit dated. Also the riddles are certainly all on the rather easy side. There are very few items in the game and it feels a lot of the riddles eventually get solved by just walking back and forth between the screens. That being said, there certainly are strong points: the plot - while not very surprising - is charming and nicely done, the dialogue is well-written with a lot of tongue-in-cheek nods to classic scifi in a way reminding me of Space Quest as much as to plenty of clichés, all the while leaving some room for not-overly-complex but still very likable characters. Complementing these is classic 2D artwork that may seem a little simple when it comes to pick-up objects, but generally works well and is nice to look at. In conclusion I'm likely to give the sequel a chance and can only leave one line from the game that I'll like to use more often in conversation from here on out:
Medieval planets are the worst!
This game is so great! More like this please!
Love the old school point and click. Reminds me of all the old Sierra games that I use to play. Great artwork and a fun little game. Definitely recommend.
i love this game ! i recommend it
While I appreciate with this game was going for, a simple campy adventure, it didn't meet expectations. The puzzles are really not engaging, varying between completely simplistic, and poor, and the technical execution is simply absent. The game places screen elements *under* the windows task bar. Full screen mode doesn't engage until the game is restarted and doesn't work correctly: the game is still in a window just without a title bar. The game features multiple soft-locks and a python exception once dropped me in the pdb debugger with a freeze. I was able to continue playing as I'm a python developer but most people will be stuck there. The story is also largely nonsensical and poorly delivered. I completed it to see if it got any better at some point, but it did not.
"My ex-boyfriend the space tyrant" выполнена в духе классических рисованных квестов, что не может не вызвать чувство ностальгии.
