If you can get it to run sure, wouldnt run on my PC claims it was missing a DLL, Ran perfectly fine on the steam deck though. All in all its not a horrible game. Its a bit slow and you hoof it pretty much everywhere on a map that should probably be scaled down slighty to save the poor girls flipflops. I gift this game to people when its on sale.
F....CK - Schon wieder Geld welches ich aus dem Fenster geworfen habe. Keine Beschreibung - Kein Tutoriel - Kein Support
Crashes on start. Support silent.

My Boyfriend – He loves me, he loves me not, developed by Exozet Games and published by familyplay, is a casual dating simulation that attempts to recreate the lighthearted fantasy of a summer romance in a colorful resort setting. It positions itself as an accessible, easygoing experience where players can explore, socialize, and build a relationship at their own pace. While the concept is appealing—blending social interaction, customization, and mini-games—the overall execution feels limited, resulting in an experience that is more superficial than immersive. The game begins with a simple premise: you arrive at a vacation destination and set out to meet and win over your ideal partner. Early on, you are given the ability to customize your boyfriend, which adds a personal touch and sets the tone for the experience. The resort itself acts as a central hub, offering locations such as beaches, clubs, gyms, and shops where various activities and interactions take place. This structure gives the game a sense of openness, encouraging players to move freely between areas while gradually building their relationship. Gameplay is built around a combination of mini-games and social interactions. Players can participate in activities like dancing, exercising, or taking on small jobs to earn money and improve their character’s appearance or abilities. These systems are meant to feed into the core objective of strengthening your relationship, creating a loop of earning, upgrading, and interacting. However, the mini-games are quite basic and tend to repeat frequently, which limits their long-term appeal. What initially feels like variety quickly becomes routine, reducing the sense of progression. The relationship system, which should be the heart of a dating simulation, lacks the depth needed to feel engaging. Conversations with your chosen partner are relatively simple, with limited options and minimal impact on how the relationship develops. While the game presents the idea of shaping your romance through interaction, it rarely delivers meaningful choices or emotional moments. As a result, the connection between characters can feel mechanical rather than genuine, making it difficult to become fully invested. Visually, the game adopts a bright and cheerful style that fits its casual tone. The environments are colorful and varied enough to suggest a lively resort atmosphere, and the customization options provide a degree of personalization. However, animations and character movements often feel stiff, and the overall presentation lacks the polish expected from more refined simulation games. The interface is functional and easy to navigate, but it doesn’t add much to the experience beyond basic usability. Pacing is one of the game’s more noticeable issues. Much of the experience involves moving between locations and repeating similar activities, which can quickly lead to a sense of monotony. Without deeper systems or evolving mechanics, the gameplay loop struggles to maintain interest over time. What begins as a relaxed, exploratory experience can start to feel repetitive, especially during longer sessions. Technical and design limitations further contribute to this feeling. Controls can be somewhat unresponsive, and interactions occasionally lack clarity, which can disrupt immersion. These issues, combined with the game’s overall simplicity, make it feel more like a collection of loosely connected features than a fully realized simulation. Despite these shortcomings, the game does offer some appeal for a specific audience. Its straightforward mechanics and relaxed pace make it easy to pick up, particularly for players who prefer low-pressure experiences or are new to the genre. The idea of combining a social simulation with light activities in a vacation setting is inherently appealing, even if it is not fully developed here. Ultimately, My Boyfriend – He loves me, he loves me not feels like a concept that had potential but falls short in execution. It provides a basic framework for a dating simulation but lacks the depth, variety, and polish needed to make it truly engaging. For players looking for a simple and casual experience, it may offer some short-term enjoyment, but those seeking a more meaningful or immersive simulation will likely find it lacking. Rating: 5/10
