The art is fairly well done and for that, I give credit but the overall story leaves much to be desired. The story focuses far too much on the setup of the plot and the beginning then once you reach the pinnacle where you are able to make the choice, the ending is quickly rushed and the overall plot leaves many questions and confusion. Outside of that, the game itself seems to have a glitch where text and the game simply stops working roughly after 45 minutes to an hour or longer into the game as I had to reload a previous save and then use the "Skip" feature to get past where the text froze and refused to continue. Editing still needs to be done as text repeats itself, adding to the confusion of the story, and there are some typos and grammatical errors that made it difficult to read through along with certain word choices that could definitely be phrased better and revised to provide a better and more immersive overall experience. There is a lot of potential for this game, however, there's much to be improved.

Was having a great time, there are some typing errors but fantastic art and well written. My only issue is 45 minutes in it just stopped registering words? so idk if it ends there or if i got a glitch

"My Boss Is Scaring Me" isn't a game, it's a cringey non-game high school anime club dropout fan-fiction that's been dumped on Steam into the games section. As a visual novel, it doesn't have any gameplay. It's just a lot of clicking through bad, cringe dialogue that no real publisher would ever accept. When people can't get their work published in print, they pay the $100 fee to dump their fan-fiction here instead, where we have to put up with it when looking for things that are actual PC games. This is pure weaponised cringe, and also an asset flip as the "author" ripped off all the backgrounds from stock art included with the VN construction kit he used to write this complete garbage high school anime club dropout fan-fiction. The plot? This is an LGBTQIA+ friendly high school anime club fan-fiction where the author writes extensively about his relationship with his imaginary boyfriend, who is a big long haired goth man. It's cringey enough to make you throw up, like every other garbage non-game e-book fan-fiction infesting the "Games" section of Steam. Visual novels are tedious at best. Imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or Twilight (kidding), but translate it to a format where you've to click your mouse for every single sentence instead of just turning pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that clicking experience, but with utterly cringe anime club fan-fiction writing. If the author had any talent, they'd be in on bookshelves. This garbage only ended up on Steam because they paid $100 to self-publish since no real publisher would take them. There's no reason for this to be on Steam when it could just be a webpage... e-books are just a bunch of cringe text and (usually character generator created) static 2D imagery. You don't buy an expensive gaming PC to use it for something your web browser can do for free. Despite having no cost, this failed to appeal to gamers. SteamDB shows it peaked at only 2 concurrent readers. This is a dismal public reception. They couldn't even give it away. To satisfy the global demand for this book, you'd only ever need to print 2 copies. While this garbage cringe e-book has no up-front cost, you can find genuinely professionally written novels and comics at a public library or through websites like Project Gutenberg. Your PC isn't a Kindle, and I can't recommend non-game e-book visual novels to people looking for PC games.
