Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 19 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played all the "Murder Is Game Over" games, and can easily say that I had great time playing the games. waiting for the new one :)
Murder is Game Over Game Review (Disclaimer - This is just my opinion and may be unpopular or disliked.) (General) 1. This is a pixel art detective style video game. 2. The game is about being a detective on a murder case and involves solving puzzles. (Positive) 1, The game is short and even multiple playthroughs can be played in one sitting. 2. The pixel art and in game music works well together and gives it the nostalgia of old games. 3. The story is done well, ties itself together well, and kept you entertained until the end. 4. The characters all have diversity and add to expanding the game well without feeling like you are having the same convesations in questioning a person that just looks different. 5. The game has effort put in and it really does show even though it is pixel art, which doesn't bother me, but I know some people are all about graphics, etc. (Negative) 1. For some people, the game being pixel art can be a turn off. 2. People might enjoy a more psychological detective game, where this is very light (as in not graphic or complex in a psychological way) and sometimes cartoony. (This just means the game might not be for you and not that it is a bad game.)

I 100%ed this game in just under two hours, and if you were thorough, you could probably do it even faster. It's a short game but I still believe it's priced well, and for people who like detective/point-and-click games, it's worth a try. Visually, it's charming. The 2D Pixel graphics still manage to look nice and the environments are fun to explore. Story-wise, it's a very straightforward who don it, featuring all your favourite characters. Creepy groundskeeper! Adopted child! Beautiful younger lover! Usually I dislike when a detective story feels too cookie-cutter, but all of these characters manage to be fun or interesting in some way and it just pairs with the visuals so well. Gameplay-wise, its simple but not bad. You play as two characters simultaneously, using Guy to interrogate and his dog Cleo to find clues and evidence. Both of these components play into each other well, and neither felt more useful than the other. Guy can't interrogate without Cleo's evidence, and Cleo can't access new areas without Guy. I only found one major bug, other than that it felt smooth. All in all, its a good game. The only thing that really upset me about this game was that there wasn't more of it. Crossing my fingers that this turns into a series. Strongly Recommend to other Mystery fans.
[No neutral review button - I'd still recommend the game, but more so if it is on sale or discounted] Had a discount coupon to use so I got the game for about $2.15 SGD, looked fun so decided to just give it a try. It is a very brief game about 1.5 - 2 hours or slightly more if you're looking to complete all the achievements. But it is a very nice little story, does tease your brain a little bit but no penalties if you get any answers wrong. I'd say its a nice refresher, probably wouldn't have gotten it if it was full price but it was still a fun little palette cleanser. Story was intriguing enough! I've also just learned that Murder Is Game Over is a series of small games, I can see why they'd charge individually so it does explain the short playtime for each instalment. Still a fun little game tho!
Pretty fun mystery game for a pixel art game, definitely gonna play the other games
A very fun short murder mystery that I recommend to fans of the genre. Excellent music and some fun characters with a well-written story. It does suffer for being the first creation of a one-man studio- some of the gameplay is unpolished (the inability to reread the note stood out to me) and the gimmick of swapping between Guy and Cleo grew old after I found there was no reason to ever explore as Guy or talk to anyone as Cleo. Nevertheless, this feels like the kind of game where I'll tell people in ten years "Yeah, the first entry's a bit weak, but it's worth sticking around!"
I really enjoyed playing, it was fun interviewing suspects and doing deductions.I also liked those bonus parts you could do beside crime solving. Definitely worth the time you get for that price.
For its price (I bought it and the its sequels at a 50% discount), this is a really cute game and really well done. It's short, but interesting. I think it would do with some more puzzles or mini-games, since, as it is, the main gameplay consists of exploring, talking to people and picking up items you have found. But it was interesting enough to buy and play the other games. I do not regret it one bit.
