Bad puzzle game.
I enjoy my puzzle games, so I was excited to try this out when it came in the Jingle Jam 2016 bundle. Sadly, it's a near miss on an interesting concept. It feels rather buggy, and is most annoying when a 3-star clear only gives you 2 stars sometimes, as others also seem to have experienced. The campaign levels are also strange in the sense that when a new mechanic is introduced, the level doesn't challenge you to get around it. You kind of just look for the shortcut and go around the messiness of the level. This makes for generally unsatisfying puzzle gameplay.

A few hours worth of brain teasers. If you need yet another one of these game in your Steam library, it may be worth considering, but probably on sale. I'm so on the fence which way to point the thumb... Guess that says enough. I was quite excited starting this, however it's way too easy, with way less moves required to finish puzzles than needed for '3 stars'. Only puzzle 37 I found challenging. All puzzles have huge empty areas. One level even uses only 1 horizontal line. Pity, this could have been alot better.
Nice and short puzzle game. Can be quite challenging at times. Interesting concept. ~1.5h to get 100% achievements. My Curator Page
I really can't recommend this. Even for a 5 bucks game, this game feels unpolished and unfinished. The mechanic is passable, but the execution...sad to say, but I've seen free android apps that work better. :-( The levels all look the same, and to most extend also play that way. Of course the abstract level design doesn't help in that aspect, but there's no shift in tone, background or even basic layout. There's no progression in difficulty or overall theme in levels. It all comes across as if the developer just threw a bunch of dots on a grid and said "here...go fetch". There are no screen tips or even a mentioning that escape quits the game (heh...I read in a patch note that 'R' to restart was added later...it's mentioned nowhere within the game). While there's no sound in the game, the music is passable. And while I personally found it dull and uninteresting, it does have challenge. Perhaps even too much...from the start you're mostly given all dots that can jump over another in a peg solitaire kind of way (with one you've got to guide to the finish). It would've been better to start out with just the immovable (black) dots and only introduce the blue ones gradually (and the green ones much later). Oh, and even though I don't recommend the game as a whole, I can't deny that a level editor is a plus. But all in all, I feel this is a missed opportunity. As if this game was rushed and never got proper beta testing or thorough thinking on how to properly design levels. It probably would've been a great early access or public beta...but as a finished game? Sorry...I'll always advice other games over this one, even at this price point.
This game saved my life. I am 43. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiralling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide. After learning of the severity of my self-inflicted damage, I was borderline suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man with no history of depression or anxiety. I have never had fits of rage, or been one to break down and cry, but I was in a low spot that just really buried me from being able to see the light on the other side. Having nothing better to do, I searched for a game I could play, ONE HANDED while I recovered. I somehow stumbled upon this game and read some of the reviews. I decided that it had to be worth a shot... I must admit, I didn't beat the game, or play nearly as long as some of you. In fact, I may have only played this game a day or two.. With that being said, after doing so, I had a new found joy and hope for life. I was able to put behind me the pain and suffering that had been cast over me. I was able to experience other peoples joy and happiness. I was able to see the fruits of my "labor". I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minutes to this music long enough to realize that I was going to be okay. After coming to that realization, I turned the game off, and I went back to work. It hurt my hand like hell but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so damn sorry for myself, and I became the father I needed to be in that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving as. Today, I am close friend with my kids mother. We don't fight, or argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents, and friends. I now have 3 kids. My third child is, wait for it, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my own separation, and we just stumbled in to each others life unexpectedly. We have been in a relationship for a year now, and are very happy together. Moral of the story, you never know what life holds in store for you, and if I would have given up when all the odds were stacked against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
TL;DR : Good potential, poor production. Fast completion, but not fun. ++ Good puzzle concept + Good potential + You can generate random levels + or you can create your own levels, save and load them. + Easily completed + Simple and intuitive user interface - Not polished, bug at end of first set of puzzles where you have to go back to menu to keep playing. This could have been easily detected with at least one single test run ! - random puzzle generator is purely random placements of elements with arbitrary requirements for 3-star performance. --- Poorly crafted puzzles. Actually, I think dev just used his random generator... (or a slightly modded one, as in first puzzles, you don't see elements that have not been introduced yet) : general difficulty is very random, and successive puzzles can be either solved with much lower count than required for 3-star solving (4 instead of 15 for example) or in much higher number than for 2-star solving like 30+ moves instead of 17. -- Some of last puzzles could be solved in a few seconds - As a consequence : game completion is very short. Good thing after all, since purely randomized board setups aren't interesting to solve.
