Mr. Triangle's Maze

Mr. Triangle is a fun mix of Mega Man's style and Chip's Challenge's gameplay, with some gameplay variety in each boss battle. I've played a bit before the Steam release and had a good time with the challenge of the bosses, but the difficulty may turn some off. Really, it's a free game, and you'll probably know by looking at it if it's something you might be in to. I recommend just giving it a shot.

I know its free and for what it does it is fine, but for the amount of soft locks and glitches I ran into getting to the 2nd boss I got fed up with it and decided to cut it short. This is partial to how the game is designed and imo is more of a flaw than an actual game designed mechanic for difficulty. Honestly what would fix this is just a simple rewind feature. If there were ways to unlock yourself I wouldn't even suggest that but there really isn't you just have to restart the level outright. And this game will at some point even prevent progress if restarts exceed a certain amount. Some of the glitches I ran into: - Not being able to pick up a key because apparently already had it but really didn't. - The game just outright restarting the level on its own (usually happened upon my own restart) - Being able to control the RCCreator bot and the main character at the same time. - Getting killed by Creator bots despite there being a block of space in between the character and the enemy. The music in this is outstanding btw. Also I love the art. Both the 8 bit stuff and the actual inspired art. Also I do recommend the other games by this dev they are really talented. I can see myself finishing this someday Its going to be more of one off thing of random playing.

Mr Triangle's Maze is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine shovelware construction kit copy+pastes spamming the Steam catalog, made with the Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine (giving RPG Maker a run for it's money as one of the worst things to happen to gaming in decades). As with all Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development, because it results in so much garbage like this polluting the store. Notably the developer here couldn't work out how to use Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine to make an RPG... and that's the only thing Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine can do properly... except it's not even very good for making RPGs. Instead, we have an old home computer/arcadelike top down adventure/puzzle game where you wander around 2D top down levels, flicking switches and so on... the puzzles in the game are dumbed down below the level of Half-Life. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. While this is free, it's not even an RPG, and the quality, thanks to Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine being a terrible game engine, is far too low to recommend to PC gamers. If you want a good puzzle game, try Portal. Or anything that's not a construction kit copy+paste with phoned in retro pixel "art".

Игра "Mr. Triangle's Maze" оказалась приятным сюрпризом! Простая на первый взгляд концепция – провести треугольник через лабиринт – быстро превращается в захватывающую головоломку. Управление отзывчивое, идеально подходит для точных движений, необходимых для прохождения всё более сложных уровней. Визуально игра минималистична, но это только идет ей на пользу. Четкий, незамысловатый дизайн позволяет сосредоточиться на самом главном – навигации по лабиринту. Музыкальное сопровождение ненавязчивое и атмосферное, дополняет геймплей. Сложность нарастает постепенно, добавляются новые механики и препятствия, не давая заскучать. Особо стоит отметить уровни с меняющимися гравитацией и движущимися платформами – они заставляют по-настоящему поломать голову. Несмотря на свою простоту, "Mr. Triangle's Maze" обладает высокой реиграбельностью. Желание пройти уровень идеально, собрав все бонусы, заставляет возвращаться снова и снова. Рекомендую всем любителям головоломок и минималистичного дизайна!
