I liked the peen part 10/10
Mr. Meat was an interesting little horror game that didn't have much story but the themes it plays off of were enough to keep me interested enough to get every ending, in 49 minutes of playtime I got all endings and 7 of 11 achievements, I'd say this type of game is worth it on sale but only on sale. I did want to end this review by saying the music that plays in those two flashback scenes was fantastic and I would love to know the name of the tracks so I can find them on YouTube or something :) I can see myself revisiting this game in the future to grab the remaining achievements.
I don't really know what I expected going into "Mr. Meat", though I had played the developer's previous game, Bleeding Roots for a Halloween stream last year and found it (perhaps unintentionally) extremely funny and memorable despite being pretty basic and really short - which is fine, it was completely free and didn't overstay its welcome. The reason it was funny is largely because it was impossible to take seriously as it involved the most depressed and miserable divorced sadsack alive doing menial gardenings tasks over the course of four seasons and talking like Eeyore without his meds every time he looked at a plant. The protagonist of this one is much the same, though there's no indication he's divorced - so we're moving up in the world. Mr. Meat is... really quite a bizarre and confusing game, though not really in the way I feel the developer had intended. The movement resembles that of an old-school dungeon crawler or something like Psychopomp, despite taking place in a very small house - serving no real purpose outside of making things slightly more tedious - and there is little interactivity or things to do outside of talk to the meat in your fridge, call on the phone after talking to said meat, or playing a few little minigames on the computer that don't have any listed rules and don't make a terribly large degree of sense. I enjoyed the dungeon dice one even if it was entirely RNG, but the other game seemed largely incomprehensible. In any case there's at least a "fun" diversion kicking around, though the rest of the game is anemic enough to where I really would have rather seen this effort go towards Mr. Meat itself. Every day, you wake up, you contemplate how much your life sucks, and you talk to the meat in the fridge. Is this Mr. Meat? Probably. The meat tells you to do things, it tells you it wants a body - and you can help. Head over to the phone, make a couple calls, and call over whoever you think has the best (or worst) body parts to fulfil the request. Chat with them a bit, chop them up in the bathroom, you know, normal person things. This "gameplay loop" is fine in theory, and some of the writing outside of the moping is pretty charming, but the game only has like three days to it and it's always very obvious who fits and doesn't fit each request based on how the meat asks for it and how they are labelled. You'll get asked for some good legs, pick up the phone, and have the option to call choices like:

Sick Dog
Olympic Runner
video gamer
An exaggeration, but there is not much thought required to make your choice - nor is there any story reasons that may compel you to pick certain choices save for one involving calling over your mother that doesn't end up going anywhere (though it counts as bad limbs for the meat which does affect your ending). After these segments, you have a flashback or a dream sequence - one of which involves your mother and one with your father, the former implying she is abusive or crazy and the latter potentially implying your character is a sociopath, which I mean... fair enough. There's a very, very short surreal dream sequence as well that also goes nowhere. And that's really it, that's all there is to do. The game does contain alternate endings, but the progression and the gameplay both literally never change outside of some different dialogue from the people you invite over and kill. Eventually you cut off your own penis too, your very own Mr. Meat. Maybe that's what the name meant. The problem here is that unlike Bleeding Roots, this one actually costs money and while it's certainly not the worst thing you can blow five bucks on, there's about half an hour of actual content here and even that is really pushing it. It makes me kind of sad because there is something here that could have been pretty interesting if there was more content - more days, more choices, more personal connections that the protagonist has that could influence those choices, etc., but as it stands, I have a hard time recommending this. After all, there's no meat on these bones.
