AFTER SITTING THROUGH 30 MINS OF ANIME STUFF, AND BEING TORTURED BY IT, I GOT TO PLAY THE GAME. The game itself is great. The graphics are great. The music is just dandy. That's if you can get to it. If you don't like anime, you can't skip the many-minutes long scenes, you will be TORTURED as there's NO WAY TO SKIP THEM. Someone in the discussions said TAB key, but that DOES NOT WORK. I want to play the game again, but I can't, because I'd have to sit through 30 mins of cut-scenes again. THIS SUCKS. Who makes a great game and tortures people with unskippable cut-scenes? I'm starting to really hate modern gaming. I'd refund if I could but it took me 18 months to feel like getting tortured long enough to see what the game is even like. Game is fun. Sitting through a half hour of cut scenes sucks. Not everyone is a 10 year old girl and likes this stuff.
Deceptively hard game. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this.

After nearly 2 decades, the originally Japanese exclusive Gamecube title "Mr. DRILLER DrillLand" would finally be made available in English for PC and as a fan of the previous entries in the series I couldn't be more thrilled to get this on sale. That being said, I should emphasize [u][b]I was happy to get this on sale.[/b][/u] While I had never had a chance to play the original it gave me the chance to finally experience this game and it's a very fun installment to the Mr. Driller franchise, the last time we'd seen him in the US being the DSiWare/Xbox Live Arcade era. This game's set in the amusement park "DrillLand" in which 5 themed attractions starring different members of the Hori family embark on, with different abilities, and it's got this fun, arcade-y repetition to it like a Mr. Driller should. I'd say it's probably the best modern offering for Mr. Driller unless you want to find the DS games or the PS1 game, however this game has this huge con of while it totally [i][b]works[/b][/i] with gamepad controls, the game's UI doesn't change the inputs based upon this, so you're just stuck always looking at keyboard button indicators. I've also seen it stutter for other folks. On the performance side I've had no issue with the game, but with these [i][b]two cons that could be pretty easily fixed in a patch[/b][/i] I feel I can really only recommend this game fully if it's on sale.
7/ 10 스팀에 단 하나밖에 없는 미스터드릴러라 팬이면 어쩔수 없이 구매하는 게임 초반에 대화나 영상이 스킵이 안된다고 호소하는 분들이 많은데 사실 스킵은 잘되는데 PC이식때 UI개편이나 조작체계 세팅을 워낙 대충해서 키 배치가 엉망이라 뭘로 스킵하는지 모를 정도로 개판인 것 뿐이다 놀이공원 컨셉은 처음 한판씩 클리어하고 보스전 한번 하고나면 끝나고 다음부터가 진짜 평소의 미스터드릴러 대로 스코어어택과 2000이상 되는 초고층 스테이지를 테마파크 종류마다 답파하며 즐길 수 있다 다만 그렇다쳐도 억지로 한번씩은 먹어야 하는게 꽤 불편한 느낌이라 GBA판 미스터드릴러 A 때보단 호불호가 갈리는 느낌 이런저런 자질구레한 문제가 있지만 조작감이나 화면, 이식안정 부분은 충분하며 게임 들어가기전 메뉴화면 조작에 익숙해지고 나면 즐기는데엔 문제가 없긴 하다. 그저, 이 게임의 진짜 양심없는 점은 23년전 게임의 이식작에 불과한 이것이 제일 최신작일 정도로 IP가 방치되어 있다는 것 뿐이다. 닌텐도스위치의 시대가 열려 다시 가벼운 휴대용 게임이나 퍼즐게임등이 유행하게 되서 이제 ip 부활의 찬스가 있을 줄 알았으나 2020년에 마찬가지로 리메이크 하나 딸랑내고 남코 미스터드릴러 팀 자체가 해체되었다고 하니 기대 안하는게 나을 듯 그래도 게임은 재밌다는게 더 빡치네
If you are a fan of the flash game Snowmuncher (Neopets) or Soul Hounds III (ZZZ), you will love this one as those two are clones of this. Mr. Driller is an adorable and challenging series that is easy to pick up, difficult to master. If your on the fence, I can recommend trying free options like Pico Driller (Pico8), or grabbing this games demo on all mainline consoles as its on Xbox, Switch, and Playstation. The demo in particular is like a free game in itself highly recommend.
ミスタードリラーはやっぱり面白い。
ゲームキューブ版が好きで、懐かしさから購入。 当時のシンプルで中毒性のあるゲーム性はそのままで、安心して楽しめた。 本作は複数のモードが用意されており、それぞれに違った面白さがある。 ただし、お気に入りのモードばかり遊んでいるとストーリーが進行せず、 次の難易度が解放されない仕様にはもどかしさを感じた。 好きな遊び方をしているだけなのに進行が制限されるため、 プレイスタイルを強制されているように感じる場面もあった。 総評としては「安定した面白さのリメイク作」。 ただし、解放条件まわりの仕様はやや人を選ぶ印象。
子供の時にやりたくて買って貰えなかったゲーム。 面白いけど、ムズすぎてクリア不可です。
Played this a LOT on switch, too. Genuinely a near-tetris level idea for a game, I hope more Mr Driller games get made someday
A great Mr. Diller game. It's quite short and sweet, with a good amount of variety with the gamemodes. The higher difficulties are actually pretty tough, too, so you'll have plenty to work towards once you've finished the main game. There's also multiplayer race and battle, but I haven't had the chance to play them yet. Also the music is great! This is a port of the gamecube game, but I didn't notice any issues with the port (though I didn't play the Gamecube version).
