MouseWars

"MouseWars" is a bad idea for a game, and it was implemented badly. A dead PvP (you can botmatch) arena that has no players because, well, who wants to play a 2D top down PvP arena game where it's all just mouse pointers? Yeah, nobody. What do you do in the game? It's just a top down shooter but the idea is that you plug in multiple mice to control the game because the developer didn't save up enough money to buy a keyboard yet. And didn't get enough money from sales of this to buy one either. Then they made it free. They will never be able to afford a keyboard at this rate. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $10 USD for this. Ten bucks!!! Sometimes optimism and delusion appear to be the same, right? Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Игра MouseWars - это забавная и увлекательная стратегия, которая, несмотря на свою кажущуюся простоту, способна затянуть на долгие часы. Управление армией мышей, сражение за сыр и захват вражеских нор - все это выполнено в ярком и карикатурном стиле, вызывающем улыбку. Геймплей достаточно прост для освоения, но предлагает множество тактических возможностей. Различные типы мышиных войск, от обычных солдат до мышей-инженеров и мышей-камикадзе, позволяют разрабатывать разнообразные стратегии атаки и обороны. Важно правильно использовать ресурсы, грамотно расставлять мышей и вовремя отправлять подкрепления, чтобы одержать победу. Особо хочется отметить юмористический подход к игре. Анимация мышей, их забавные возгласы и смешные ситуации, возникающие во время сражений, делают игровой процесс не только интересным, но и расслабляющим. Несмотря на то, что графика игры довольно проста, она вполне соответствует общему стилю и не отвлекает от геймплея. Звуковое сопровождение также хорошо подобрано и создает нужное настроение. В целом, MouseWars - это отличная игра для тех, кто ищет простую, но увлекательную стратегию с юмористическим уклоном. Рекомендую всем, кто любит пощекотать свои тактические навыки и просто хорошо провести время!
