I expected something dynamic like Icarus 666, but was disappointed. The environments of Mountain Mind are very blurry, empty and mostly static. And than there are those huge heads floating right in front of you, amplifying your head movements. I dunno, maybe something wrong with me: I like Stoner and headbanging, but giant face that follows you and mimics just feels very uncomfortable.

[h1] Experienced on the Oculus Rift [/h1] So there's a lot of negative reviews and they all mention price. When it first came out, this game was $9.99 USD but now it's completely free to play and the DLC soundtrack is $9.99 USD which makes more sense given the content. I personally think the music is really good. It's also cool that you have different avatar heads to headbang to for the different 5 songs total (plus credits so 6 I guess). However, the visuals are severely lacking. Most of them look like low resolution 360 videos you might see on YouTube that are labeled as VR. The visuals are that ugly to look at. There are some cool scenes. There's this one with lava rain coming down that is pretty cool, but that's the exception. On the other hand, the music is head-banging fun. It's free. I think it's a complete no-brainer to download it now. You even get 8 easy achievement to 100% the game. I just wish they had worked on making the VR visuals more exciting. At least the hair physics on the head-banging avatar models is spot on, whoever worked on that is a genius! Rate 6.66/10. Stoner rock eh? Sounds like metal to me.

Surprisingly enjoyable and with a great soundtrack. I got it in the IndieGala bundle. I'm not sure how I'd feel paying full price for it - other than just chilling and enjoying the music and visuals - there's not much to do. But it is pretty and waving your weird hair about is rather satifying. If it had a bit more content and/or interactivity I'd say go for it. Otherwise - wait for a sale or another bundle unless you really enjoy headbanging to stoner rock.

Mountain Mind - Headbanger's VR is a free VR experience. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok. Has 5 songs to bang your head to. Has 8 steam achievements that are easy to get. The visuals were cool, and the headbanging was fun. I got it for free, at one time it was a paid product, but now it is Free to play. You have DLC that you can buy, which is a soundtrack. This EP is composed and recorded by Melih Küskü, with additions to mixing, editing and vocals from Dogan Çetin. Tracklist: 1. I'm sure there's gotta be people out there that will enjoy this. I'm just...not one of them.
