Great high energy soundtrack, which is the reason I wound up on this page ~ I wanted the sound track but it looks like I needed to have bought the dealers edition for that. :steamsad:/
As far as the story, its out there and still both entertaining and interesting. Definitely with adult themes, not a tactical beat em up for babies :lernie:
As far as the gameplay, the controls are pretty tight: demonstrated best in sequences when you are actually able catch a throw weapon. The line up of available moves is limited, but mostly and-yet-incredibly well crafted to keep fighting interesting. Bosses get their own unique and fun mechanic (The final boss is NOT fun *♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥*).
Just playing through this game once is worth the price of admission, even on easy with friends (co-op is great too, up to 4 players local & remote play together). But the skill ceiling goes high too, well over my head.
Then there is the arena levels that unlock different power ups, the skill you trigger for filling a special meter (drugs). You show off your face smashing a large number of enemies.
If you find this game under $5, grab it, you should know in much less than 20 min (let alone the steam 2 hour limit) if this game is for you.
