Original fighting game with unique mechanics and visual style
Wasnt for sure about this game even though the fighting style reminds me of the good ol marvel vs capcom and darkstalkers days, i have to say for a fighting game this performs fairly solid, the one complaint id have if any is there only two buttons to strike or throw supers and it seems kinda simplistic but it plays really well 9/10 recieved through keymailer!
in love with this game already, 10/10
I am not really a big fan of the fighting games. I mean, i have played few MK, Tekken and Street Fighter games, but they are not really my thing and my fighting strategy can be described as "press random buttons and hope for the best". Anyway, "Mostroscopy" was looking interesting enough, so i requested a review key and i got one. And the game is good. I do like the visuals and fighter design, most of them being inspired by different beasts from the Mexican/South american mythology. And i do like the simple combat systems, without combos and skills that need at least 12 fingers on the controller at the same time. I really hate the music, but hey, it's a matter of personal taste. So long story short, if you like games like this, give Mostroscopy a chance. It's a nice game :) Short video: https://youtu.be/ipNcYg1tJcw
Me encanta el juego, lo recomiendo bastante.
A decent game that was unfortunately not for me.I refunded, but I recommended trying it as it does have a cool presentation and is easy to pick up and play. A few things bothered me that lead to me refund the game: -some hit boxes are way off which results in hits that are visually misses -due to easy inputs and lack of recovery on some moves certain powerful attacks are spammable -the sound effects for hits are lacking compound this with low hit stop and the fighting here doesn’t feel impactful at all - black and white stages should be a choice as the make the action even more hard to read. I may try to pick this game up again in the future but only if the game receives more polish and balance. If it does, I’m totally on board as I like the game aesthetically it ,for me , just doesn’t hold up in the gameplay department.
weird but fun fighting game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZshTNYKtm8 Steam Recommendations YouTube TikTok
First thing's first, the music and character design is phenomenal. If you like some rockabilly, ska, or surf rock, you'll be tapping your foot to this. The option of some maps being black and white, as well as a 3-D option are an amazing commitment to the theming. On to the controls: After so many years of playing Guilty Gear and Soul Calibur, it's so nice to have some simple button prompts. Don't get it confused with being too simplistic, as you can still juggle people to an extreme degree with said combos. It goes both ways, but this game is balanced such that it's more of a feature than a bug. Don't get me wrong though, the early nerfs they had on a couple characters were still warranted, but this small team is responding surprisingly fast. Well worth the price tag for the base game and the DLC prices are not unreasonable. While this might not be one of my main fighters, I'll gladly keep this as a secondary, especially as someone who can't tiger knee to save his life.
