Elynovia, a cursed land that was abandoned by god, once a peaceful place to live, now is nothing but eternal chaos and darkness. A place of the undead, demons, and unknown creatures roaming around aimlessly. The curse has not been lifted yet, until one day a god from another realm decides to interfere by reincarnation his greatest hero into this world. With the blessing of god, the hero's soul is able to choose and possess a new body or vessel from this world.

Its a fun game with some flaws. Pros- -Combat, the 2 characters (when you aquire the second and upgrade the Vessels) playing off each other is really fun and interesting. I used Astrid and Freya and melted pretty much everything. -Skills, good variety of builds and how they work, sadly some shine way better than others. -Interface, easy to navigate. - Tier 1 vessel upgrades applying to all even if not active, makes getting the ones you don't want to use still worth it. Mid- Crafting- requirement are way to high and the benefits are negligible, making the craft of that legendary item impractical at best, a waste of time at worst. Most dropped gear with good augments will be more than enough. Due to this, the feature went largely unused by me. Cons- No skill point dump- At the end of the game i was lvl 40 (MAX) and had like 1000+ skill points just sitting there, useless. This also made the skill tomes pointless as well. Bugs- extra attacks not working, areas of map glitching, and some aoe occasionally not targeting all enemies. Some vessels are just bad- plainly weaker than others. Controller support- Works fine but the lack of a controller overlay for button interactions was confusing, so it took some failed traps and guess work to get it right. I'm sure this wont be an issue to all but it was for me. BTW: for Xbox controller Z = A and X = B RB = Q (reset puzzle). Over all it is fun to play and worthwhile, but could use some polish to really shine
I've been keeping an eye on this game ever since the developer shared it with me last year. And boy was the wait for it incredibly worth it. At the beginning, you can select one of many fantastically designed Vessels. I went with Astrid, the Crystal Fencer who uses Water. The start gives the background and objective right away, which is great for people who wants to explore the places and game mechanics immediately. The gameplay designs of the skill tree and abilities are intricate, so poke through around in order to learn your Vessels' build and understand how combat plays out. The music is also a highlight. The pleasant and cheery beats remind me of tunes from classic SNES JRPGs. Overall, the game is very polished. Definitely recommend to give this gem a shot if you like mechanically dense RPGs.
Only a brief play so far but love what I see! Much like the straightforward story writing, addictive gameplay. A great game for on the go.
Very cool character design, and the environments were excellent. You can choose different characters from the beginning of the game. The combat is easy to learn, and the animation is great. Strongly recommend to everyone!

Full disclosure, I made a very tiny contribution toward this game's creation. I still intend for this review to be honest and fair, pointing out both the good and the bad. So having said that, let's begin! [u][b]The Good[/b][/u] - Well-done battle aesthetics and battle system overall. The attacks are very satisfying. - No random encounters--you can see (and thus avoid) enemies on the map. And sometimes, you need to do exactly that. - Lots of characters to unlock, each with their own skillsets and you can control what skills they unlock as they level. - Lots of customization for your characters in general--skills they learn, bonuses applied to equipment, permanent stat boost items you can either spread out or pool into a favorite, etc. - Gameplay is nice and bite-sized. You can sit down and clear (or die in) a dungeon, then save and close it until later. [u][b]The Bad[/b][/u] - Healing is very scarce. There are places in dungeons that will heal you once only. There's a few healing items, but so far I haven't found a proper shop that sells them so they feel very limited in supply. Nobody I have so far has healing skill either, except for the witch who only has a weak HP drain. There's finally a free-to-use skill in battle that recovers HP and MP, but it does so in very small amounts. Finally, you will recover HP each time a character levels up or by returning to the home base. That's it so far, though. - As nice as the environments look, sometimes the effects can obscure visibility. Darker areas make sense, but in others you'll have clouds, etc making it hard to see where you're going. - There isn't much explanation of what each status effect does. - There also isn't any indication of a given skill's power level. [u][b]Things to be wary of[/b][/u] - This game isn't going to hold your hand other than to give you some basic tips and a general idea of what your goal is. I like that about it, but not everyone will. - You really really need to save in between trips out into the world. You can be doing really great until one wrong move kills you off without warning, or worse. There are single-use interactable objects and events you might not do "correctly" on your first encounter. Get ready to save scum when dealing with certain areas! - Things can get very difficult very quickly if you don't engage in the various character development mechanics. Unlock skills as you can, favoring those that will let you use the Enhance Vessel feature as soon as possible. Characters (called vessels) that aren't fully enhanced will start to feel very weak very quickly. - This game is very light on story and dialog. It's focus is exploring, building characters/parties, and fighting stuff. Overall, pretty enjoyable.
It's addictingly good, fast pace, use the basic rpg turn based battle but with creative combo actions. There are some rogue lite elements too. It's perfect if you want some quick easy fun
The story is a bit vague, but the battle is satisfying and fun. A good game for killing some time.
