About

Years ago, a huge meteorite struck our planet in the state of Orcania. The government covered up the event and militarized the impact zone, prohibiting access. A year later, tycoon Hugh Powell staged a coup and unleashed a war in Grinjil. His forces, superior in numbers and technology, won after a devastating battle: the city was left in ruins, thousands were killed, and the royal family was captured and publicly executed. Powell proclaimed himself president and imposed a dictatorship that, although many accept with resignation, is still resisted by numerous rebel groups, such as the protagonists of this story.

¡¡ORCANIA LIBRE!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A turn-based JRPG like the ones from back in the day, but with a modern soul. It hooked me from the very first moment. Mortal Destiny is a classic turn-based JRPG that pays homage to the greats of the past, but with a much more modern and adult setting and story. The game doesn’t hold back at all when showing strong themes and mature situations, and I love that. You can tell it’s not afraid to treat the player like an adult. Graphically, it reminds me of the classic 16-bit games but with a nice upgrade in some aspects. The story kept me engaged the entire time, with characters full of personality and interesting backstories. I especially liked how they gradually join the party in a natural way and how their relationships develop throughout the adventure. Each one brings something unique both to the story and to combat. The combat system is one of the strongest points: it’s agile, dynamic, and really fun. Forget random encounters — you can see the enemies on the map and choose to avoid them or prepare, which is a blessing. The battles have good strategic depth without ever feeling slow. The level design is very varied: lively cities, dense forests, dark caves, sewers… each area has its own identity. The classic world map is excellent, with different vehicles to travel around and quite a few secret areas and places to explore. On top of that, it’s packed with content: tons of side quests, varied minigames (races, arcade machines, billiards, and more), and details that make the world feel alive. The soundtrack fits perfectly in every moment. It features electronic, rock, blues… and even some epic tracks that reminded me of Final Fantasy. The vehicle radio with different stations is a fantastic detail that adds a lot to the immersion. In total, it took me about 40 hours while doing nearly all the side content, and I still had a couple of things left to do. Highly recommended, 100%. Especially at this price. A hidden indie gem that deserves much more recognition. FREE ORCANIA!!
