short and fun
Very decent first outing for this solo developer. Rough round the edges but it was solidly enough put together. Definitely worth it on sale. Paid 59 cents for this and got nearly a minute per cent which is hard to argue with. I had no bugs or issues. And got the guts of an hour's entertainment out of this. There's a few frights strung together across a desolate prison inhabited by madmen and cannibals. The level design is coherent, and there's enough challenge (at least on hard difficulty) to get through each level that it feels worthwhile, a walking sim this ain't for sure. I'd recommend actually not watching the trailer, as given the length of the game and the amount of content I felt it spoiled a few of the more noteworthy moments e.g. the scare on the lift, the collapsing bridge, etc. Will be looking out for what this developer does next.

i enjoyed the adventure, that body drop totally got me! LOL i enjoy finding out the story by searching the world. post apocalyptic? ohh i LIIIKE! game is not very long but definitely worth checking out. the concept is very interesting, it gave me a outlast/manhunt vibe. the voice acting was pretty good, however the footsteps need some work totally enjoyed my experience, however i feel like its definitely difficult to see without the flashlight, near pitch black. recommendation: i would love to see implemented here the ability to drop things in the enemies path to avoid being hit, or more places to crouch and hide. nothing gets the heart pumping like having to crawl into a small space to avoid being hunted. also maybe the ability to find food and the choice of being normal food thats much more difficult to obtain or Human meat! this in turn could alter the ending? overall i enjoyed my experience with the game. if you like indie horror, come check it out.
So this is a pretty good game, its about 50 mins long give or take and for about the 80 cents that i paid for it, i think its worth it. you get what you pay for so, and it just made by 1 person. Great atmosphere, pretty spooky, and really unpredictable. good job dev
Mortal Decay es un humilde pero muy efectivo juego de terror, la sensación de inseguridad, miedo y decadencia están muy bien conseguidas, y después todo eso es lo que le pedimos a un buen juego de terror. Gameplay
Strong use of atmosphere and light/darkness, and there are some good stealth sequences although overall there is less use of stealth than I was hoping for going in. The final showdown is a bit underwhelming, but the twists and plot helped to make up for it. The skeletal look of both the living and the dead, as seen in the trailer, adds a visceral horror, while the sense of a decaying world - notes and letters are definitely worth collecting - gives a deeper unsettling feeling. Definitely a solid little game.
great game short and sweet cool jump scares
nice
This is the perfect example of what a talented indie dev can do with the few resources he is given. I was honestly impressed by the ability this dev demonstrated in taking a bunch of pre-made assets and in tying them up together into a perfectly coherent and captivating horror story. In particular, the ending truly blew my mind, it is very very clever. Also, the gameplay, albeit totally classic, is very well designed, without even the slightest flaw, and the atmosphere is truly scary and intelligently built. I mean it, I couldn't recommend this game more. If you are an indie dev, or are considering to become one, play this little hidden gem and learn. Cheers guys!
