About
Morimens is a roguelite card-battling game set in a world inspired by the Lovecratian mythos.
Something is wrong with Kadath. Bond with hauntingly beautiful Awakeners, build a deck from the remnants of their power, and push deeper into the mist—where the events get stranger, the cards get darker, and the truth is something you may not survive knowing.

The world is dying, yet its inhabitants remain blissfully unaware.
Confronted with a creeping, unspeakable calamity, you shall take on the role of Keeper, awakening powers intertwined with the very doom threatening existence. You will link yourself with sentient weapons teetering on the brink of madness, to withstand this monumental crisis.
If all is destined to be forgotten, would you bear the burden of secrets as testament to the world's existence, forging ahead into the unknown?
Let these tombstones bear witness, and may the Silver Key light our way.
Welcome to Mythag University, Keeper.

Beautiful where it wants to be, and deeply wrong where it doesn't—from strikingly beautiful Awakeners to visceral body horror, no two encounters look the same.
Four distinctive Realms—each with unique gameplay mechanics—form the backbone of your experience, supported by an ever-expanding library of 185+ cards and counting.
Whether you prefer overwhelming force or razor-thin combos, the depth of options lets you build exactly the deck you want, and pull off victories that feel truly earned!
Easy to pick up, endlessly replayable!
Random Events, Orison card buffs, Relic drops... every run brings a reshuffled landscape of surprises and challenges at every turn.
With out-of-run progression, flexible deckbuilding, and forgiving death mechanics, Morimens meets you where you are—whether you're a roguelite veteran or a first-time Keeper.
Haunting soundtracks and heart-rending stories draw you deeper, episode by episode, into madness, despair, and the abyss of truth, illuminating the full spectrum of human nature: from the depths of despair to the last flicker of hope.
Engage in single-player challenges that push your strategic thinking to the limit; meanwhile, the Traphase mode offers a competitive PvP experience, with brand-new card effects and mechanics. No character-building required: dive straight in and compete against other players on equal footing!
Thank you for venturing into the world of Morimens! Nothing means more to us than having you here. If you enjoy Morimens or have any feedback about your experience, please do share it with us!
Though this world may be fraught with peril, we are delighted to have crossed paths.
May the Silver Key light our way.

Saya my beloved...ah good story also
A wonderful game with wonderful characters and an amazing development team. I love Morimens so much

Yes it's still a gacha, but this has a lot of depth and a lot of ways of avoiding spending anything. Slay the Spire, but with less focus on the roguelite elements. Good in small bursts, but also can be played for hours at a time. Stick with it if it seems you are hitting a roadblock + ignore some of the early warnings about being underleveled while doing the main story levels.

As much as I play it I should probably give them a recommendation. There are some annoying things starting with how this was supposedly an investigation RPG and they HAD to change to gacha monetization and change the second half of the story mechanics because it was the ONLY way to recover financially. And they are still supposedly struggling financially so while trying to remain f2p friendly as a stance do make frequent decisions that favor whales. Compared to other gachas though it is f2p friendly and the amount of fomo is low. The only more friendly one is probably CZN and that's because there's just nothing to invest in which is almost a problem in itself. I've played super casually for about 3 months and not bothered if I miss some weeklies or dailies (except realistically I haven't missed many dailies anyway as they are extremely fast) because pull income is generous. There is a borrow support feature that works in almost every possible event so even a day 1 player can use a highly whaled DPS to clear any events that are going on. I haven't played Slay the Spire so I don't know how far they strayed from the basic gameplay - I am assuming death resistance as a stat (the ability to die and get a buff after bringing you back to life) is unique and is a sort of love it or hate it mechanic. I say that but I'm actually kind of neutral on it, however it is central to endgame gameplay and not uncommon to have dying once be guaranteed/ a part of your strategy. The 4 realms of "magic" and how they interact is a good mechanic that makes team building interesting (I don't even know if StS has teams). Morimens has reasons to build and play many teams and almost all characters so if you are the kind of person that thinks that sounds appealing you will probably love it. The story and art is largely non-gooner which is a plus to me, but there is still an obvious favoritism towards sexy females (especially ones blatantly without underwear on and showing a lot of upper hip which is clearly someone's favorite and may be a plus to others) mingled in with the more creative concepts. Plus a random really weird chapter with a character that is obsessed with procreating. The devs are obviously inspired by classic cosmic horror which includes Saya no Uta, duh since they had a Saya collab; so they put this Saya inspired story out of nowhere in the first part of the more serious arc where it's all of a sudden BOOBIES IN YO FACE (then later do the Saya collab itself with a nothing burger of a story). It's annoying to me but on a much lesser level of CZN turning from horror to cutesy. At least Morimens doesn't seem like they are focusing on fanservice even if it would help their bottom line while CZN doubled down on tits instead of interesting plot. The story is fine and the translation is mediocre but passable. I think it gets praise because the text is more flowery than typical mobile game fare but it's wildly inconsistent in tone and pacing and additionally lacks a lot of context between events that occur (so I don't know maybe that's the writing rather than the translation). There are writers who can describe a lot of minute details in scenes and not make it seem pointless or redundant but the writers and/or translators of this game are not that. The cadence of sentences is predictable with incorrectly used and repetitive commas. The MC wavers between serious and anime when it's not called for. If it was a book it would be too annoying for me to get through. In smaller chunks it's tolerable but to me it is technically less well done than HSR even though HSR is written in more simple language. Some of the lore and side content like Simulated Universe in HSR is very well translated. If there is even another story arc in the future I hope they can do a better job but I guess that's also the biggest downside to Morimens. Unfortunately there may never be another story arc. The available content might be all there ever is. So yes even though I have some criticisms I want them to make money so they can make more story chapters and also release the scrapped chapters. It is I think a niche game but it's good in that niche.
