ok i was not expecting this game to be this good. obviously it has usual problems of this type of games, clunky, rough on the edges, chopped animations, weird enemies behavior and so on, but.. But its actually very enjoyable story driven adventure that does enough of everything to keep you occupied and also emerse in cosmic horror with pretty good writing, and some scenes i think were marvelous meditation on Lovecrafts ideas.

Huge Lovecraft fan, but this game is a total chore. Rage quit near the end. Boring and tedious puzzles. Clunky animations (Getting hit means you are stuck in a painfully slow get-up animation, resulting in instant death loops). Terrible checkpoints that reset way too much progress. Frustrating, repetitive, and simply not fun. Great atmosphere but awful gameplay design. Save your time. 4/10

this game is so insanely boring and confusing at the beginning that i seriously regret just trusting that it looked cool and buying it, cause now ive waited way too long to refund it. even watching a guide showing me exactly wwhat to do with this battery solar array ♥♥♥♥ is so gratingly boring.

J'ai passé un bon moment dans Moons of Madness. Étant un grand fan de l'univers de Lovecraft, j'ai apprécié le respect de l'œuvre et son appropriation dans un univers futuriste. De très bonnes idées de mise en scène. Après, il y a de la tension, des sursauts, mais pas vraiment de frisson ou de terreur et les mécaniques d'énigmes sont simples. En tout cas j'ai vraiment apprécié mes 6h dans un jeu qui respecte et s'approprie l'univers Lovecraftien donc merci à vous.

Short and sweet, I loved losing myself in the environments. Pretty spooky and Lovecraftian, with a lot of nice worldbuilding details sprinkled throughout. Cool walking simulator, 9/10 would visit Mars again.

Not a bad game, to be honest. Let's be clear though - Moons of Madness is basically a walking sim. There are occasional puzzles which are pretty cool, you have to use some items here and there, but there is not enough of those elements to call it a true adventure / puzzle game. And while it is a horror game, it doesn't have any real action sequences, apart from running away from danger few times. Yet, as a walking sim I have to say it is one of the best I played. It has an interesting, coherent story, one you can follow, understand and enjoy. And that's a big plus, as that is not the case for many walking sims. It looks great, it runs smoothly without any bugs. I have enjoyed the game a lot, loved the Mars base setting and all the locations. It takes few hours to complete - perfect length for such game (my 39 hrs playtime comes from leaving the computer running for hours with the game on).
