One of the more charming and heartfelt games I've played, with a nice graphics style and fun fishing and cooking mechanics. The lore is also really nicely done. It's just a shame that there is a persistent issue for me where the game stutters and lags very badly the further I progress in it. Around the middle of Chapter 3 is when it becomes so bad that it's unplayable. When I check how much processing power it's using, it's a huge amount, even though I exceed the minimum requirements to run the game. It seems unoptimized, and unfortunately it looks like they haven't pushed updates in a long while. If it weren't for this it would easily give it the best review possible.
Wife is gone.. theres nothing left to do but fish
bom
Cannot move in game it only walks on the spot.
Honestly enjoyed it enough to leave positive review, tho there are totally parts which need some more polishing. Really loved this blocky world and going around small town and check what townies are doing (or maybe I was just hunting them for quests <.<). It was fun fishing different blocky species, especially if they are so big they cover your whole chara xD Plus you can check all species you caught in aquarium. However, using boat was a bit wonky and you really need to be precise not to get stuck (you can’t backpedal), just don’t ram yourself into islands or get too close them… Tbh that was the most annoying part, you need to save file a lot for that very reason or cause of some bugs. There is a certain quest bug, but it should be fine as long as you don’t fix gazebo/park too early (didn’t happen to me since I was busy running around doing quests and lazy to upgrade town until after I was done with main story). Also I wish there was certain ‘unstuck’ button specially for boat/dingy situations (there is one for your character). Just make sure to save game before going on big quests or after walking around for some time since autosave is only when you need to sleep and you can play for a long time before you do get to bed. As for cooking… I think there should be more to it… It is cool that each cooking technique has its own mini-game, but it can also get tedious, to get some recipes you need to max out older ones and it is better to not bulk produce since it counts only as one time anyway. Plus… you don’t really need all those cooler recipes (except achievement)… there is no purpose unless you need money, but again you will probably finish game before needing them. Maybe if there was restaurant or something, but we have just vending machine (never had a need to buy more than one). Over all, enjoyed this game graphics, very cute and colourful blocky world. Fishing/cooking was fun (if you are not fan of cooking, you can just sell fish). Main story was sentimental, but lovely. However, there are bugs which can totally spoil the mood, if you encounter them make sure you always have 3 save files available to save yourself from doom.
