About
Frequently reminded about how she was rescued by faeries despite being a human, Lilika (renamable MC) has lived all her life repaying the faeries with her servitude — to cook, clean, and care for the heirs of an elite faerie family in the realm. When the family receives their annual invitation to an upcoming masquerade held by the High Court, Lilika is surprised to also receive an invitation letter, only to have her dreams crushed by the family’s objections.
Lilika refuses to let go of her dreams of romance and dancing amongst the sparkling high court faeries. Her wishes are soon heard by a mysterious flower spirit in the garden and the spirit helps Eve get to the ball.
Believing in the flower spirit, Lilika finds herself at the masquerade in a beautiful disguise and is able to put aside her human identity for a magical evening. But her night soon begins to unmask a stunning mystery - one that ties a clandestine prince, a grand magician, and a roguish knight to her destiny through passionate secrets and mysterious letters by moondusk.

There are 3 romanceable love interests in the main story of the game - Prince Kalon, Astromeria, and Llyr

I play fantasy romance visual novels quite a lot, and I like this game after finishing one route. (I usually finish one route of the most preferred LI and then let it be for a while.) Kalon's route was somehow lovely, bittersweet, and not so straightforward as I expected. What I like about Nochi Studios games is that they always find a way to make their romance games more challenging. I didn't use any guide, so really, I understand it can get frustrating for someone after a while, but I really enjoyed collecting letters and replaying the game to get to the happy end. However, the fact is that even if you use any guide at the end, it is still a well-written, long enough visual novel with really nice art for a good price.
Regency fairy tale vibes for sure. If you are into Cinderella stories this is for you llyr is a spicy playboy. Great job Nochi!

I enjoyed Moondusk Masquerade! There is court intrigue and politics, light world building, and sparkly LIs to court, each with their own distinct story to tell. I spent about 32 hours going though and getting the 3 happy ending achievements. It was a challenge to figure out the correct choices to get 6 letters from each of the LIs, but that was part of the fun. There's absolutely value in going back and reading through all of the scenes from different choices even if those scenes don't lead to the route you're aiming for. I made my progress through the game by making a new save during each letter: so I had a save file for 1/9 letters, a separate save for 2/9 letters, etc. Thank you Nochi for an enchanting jaunt through the land of Selerune!
One thing I like about Nochi is that with each new release, there's always a new aspect that they add in their games to challenge themselves. I've played every single game (except Love Cult, it is next on my list) and Moondusk Masquerade was different in the sense that it's their first game with a historical-fantasy setting. As someone who LOVES this genre (mainly historical), I was really excited about the court-palace aspect (though the game was shorter than I expected). The moment I launched the game, the music transported me into a different time. With the gradual unveiling of the truth and interactions with LIs (I enjoyed the more 'everyday ones' outside the masquerade), I enjoyed the common route more than the individual ones. I really liked the interactions with Llyr, it was comical at times. I liked the collecting letters aspect- the 'esc' button and save files are truly your friends. Each LI has their own style of writing and appreciate the different way they expressed themselves (Meria imo has the best letters). It took me awhile to figure out which colour/font belongs to each LI but once I did, getting to the individual route wasn't too difficult. After branching out to the LI's route, the story was a little rushed. There were inconsistencies like
Lady Clementine's name or Odelphia(?), idk if they're two different people but I was confused and also in Kalon's route, he was born after the war but in Meria's, he was just too young to remember
. It wasn't enough to take away from the enjoyment of the game though. I also felt that Llyr's backstory could've been built better
like how did his association with the other court come about? Why was he overprotective of the Sunbloom noble faerie?
. I also noticed a strange glitch, when playing each individual route, I made two saves so I could get both endings but after completing the route, one save would get overwritten by a specific scene with Kalon. Overall, I enjoyed the world of Selerune that Nochi built-- though I wish there was more!
The art style is gorgeous and I absolutely love the story. The individual routes/endings are hard to unlock without a guide, but despite that I keep wanting to play this game
The art is really good and the character designs are great but the story writing and plot are pretty lacking imo
