Do it for your mother.
Full review: https://www.keengamer.com/articles/reviews/pc-reviews/moon-raider-review-gems-for-mom-pc/ Moon Raider has the style and aesthetic of a memorable sci-fi action-adventure. Where it falters is in the department of innovation and experimentation, proving a little too complex for a developer historically known for mobile titles. Nevertheless, there is enough knowledge and polish to make for an entertaining journey to the moon and back, and if playing as a martian treasure hunter with a giant gun sounds appealing, there's little reason not to give this a... shot. Just watch for secret walls. + Beautiful sci-fi aesthetic + Charming in execution, albeit not perfect + Easy to digest and accessible - Boss fights leave a lot to be desired - Controls are a little clunky - Makes little attempt to innovate

Short and sweet. Although not a long game, it is competently made and has some good art direction. The idea of a Metroid-style game that revolves entirely around being able to shinespark at will is interesting.
As one of a lot of games I Kickstarted a few years ago then just sort of forgot, I wish I had given this one a chance, because it's already growing on me and I've only just got into it. For what it's worth, it's alright. I ran into a few odd control glitches here and there (a dash I couldn't cancel until I was pretty much out of power, a point where the double-jump just wouldn't execute right over an insta-death trap, and more than a few moments where I got stuck inside the level gateways) but having put up with far worse as a kid playing games that looked and played just like this one, I'm more of the "its flaws make it more charming than less" camp.
To many instant death hazards.
A bit off with the camera work and gameplay isnt deep aside the dash, not a bad game but not a very good one either its good enough
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/32044813 ----------
