I feel like I've only scratched the surface with this free to play monster girl rpg title in the almost two hours that I've put into it; which is fantastic. Monster girls titles are something i'll never get tired of seeing get a release. There is a pretty large variety of monster girls with different personalities which is nice. Feels like an rpg maker game but has enough entertaining mechanics and characters to set it aside much like Hero and Daughter +. The game also seems fairly large for a free to play title. The download was over 1gb which shows you the nice amount of content piled into it. You get a pretty detailed tutorial at the start of the game detailing different mechanics of the battle system and the overworld. The dialogue at times seems a bit over complicated, but it is still grammatically sound and understandable. I can't complain to much since this is something I get called out on every once in a while. One of the main shining factors is a few of the different mechanics involved aside from typical rpg elements. There is a recruitment mechanic and a dating mechanic. I haven't ran into the dating mechanic yet, but I'm interested to see how it goes. Aside from magic, attack, and defend; there is also scanning and talking which can be used to gather information about a monster girl or make the battle easier. In some talking cases you can recruit the monster girl which will give you an ability in the overworld, or they may leave the battle. I ran into one battle where a trivia mechanic was even thrown into the mix. When you scan there is a down arrow. I'm not sure if there is supposed to be more information or not. At the start of the game, the scan info included if the monster could be recruited or not; but later that was not popping up in some scans. In the overworld you will find items hidden throughout and riddles or puzzles required to solve to continue. They vary in difficulty and some can go through a trial and error process. A hint system could be nice for some harder puzzles. I'm not particularly good at Sudoku. Some players may just want to enjoy the standard rpg battle and not have to drag out pen and paper to solve things. I guess it depends on what type of player you are. One of the only things I wish was on the overworld is an arrow of sorts on entrance and exit doorways to remind you where the actual transition point is. The game has controller support and is mouse friendly as well. There are a few steam features which I hope get implemented in the future such as the ability to take screenshots, having a steam overlay, and steam achievements. I would also of course love to see cards and background; but since it is a free title with no dlc, it is unlikely that this will be possible.
Pros
+Fun and cute characters +Interesting mechanics aside from the standard +Easy to understand tutorial and overworld +Recruitable monster girls +Nice amount of content +Free
Mix?
~[strike]Puzzles could use hint system[/strike] ~hints added ~[strike]No arrows indicating entrance and exits can make it hard to find them in some areas[/strike] ~ sprites put on transistion points ~Language may be a bit over complicated, but is still understandable.
Cons
-Steam features currently lacking All in all my experience with this game thus far has been excellent. I'm looking forward to sinking more time into it to see the different elements. As always i'm board for whatever monster girl game I can try and this one is worth the try if you are a fan of monster girls or rpg titles. It's free, so it does you no real harm to try. I'm not gonna take some high road here. I allow sexual content and nudity for a reason. Been playing this for 7 hrs on this review and haven't seen one nipple. Just seems to be a lot of teasing. At least I laughed once or twice.
Seems like a fun game but the text has no speed function so unless you are a fast reader you will be restarting or reloading this game multiple times just so that you can keep up with whats going on. this problem still has no resolution after a year of it being brought to creators attention. This game is not very fun for me because I play games like this for storyline and content, not one or the other.
Overall: 3/5 Okay MonsterxMan: Inheritance to Lust is a genuinely mediocre short RPG, made in good old RPG Maker, with suggestive-to-softcore artwork standing in for the otherwise normal RPG story characters, and frequent fetishy kink dialogue of the "WELL THAT SURE TOOK A TURN" variety. The characters and enemies are essentially trampy skins for regular characters in a mediocre short RPG. There are a few "normal" enemies peppered in with the sluts. Fetishes covered (non-exhaustive): - Crushing (Text) - Eatin' poop (Text) - Hypnotism (Text, minigame, sort-of battle mechanic) - Spanking (Text) - Tantric sex (Text) - Threesome / menage a trois (Text) - Transformation (Text, usually goes with Crushing) - Vore & digestion (Battle mechanic) - A guy in a book ♥♥♥♥♥ a cabbage The game has an awful lot of design issues, bugs, and minor sillinesses. Here are a few: - The game has no form of equipment whatsoever, and while the equipment option has been consequently removed from the character overview, these tabs still appear in the shop and inventory windows. - Most of the overworld sprites other then the party and very major characters are stock RTP stuff that doesn't reflect the ingame battler graphics very well if at all. Notable mentions are the Arabian bellhop who turns into an adorable kitsune maid, and the guy in a cloak who turns into a snail with big tits. The overworld sprites for the two Very Large Women bosses, while resembling their characters, are also very dodgy spritework in general. - Not all places and objects are visible at the start, which is actually justified in the story. What isn't so justified is when they suddenly appear while you're still on the screen; for a second I thought this was a psychological horror game and my character was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts. - Game text is prone to typos and unprofessionalism - some plausibly intentional, much of it not. This is a problem at two points - the forest "age gate" puzzle and (Baby) Quizmaster Trivia - where the player is expected to solve a puzzle with text hints that are insufficient. It's a minor annoyance when the secondary antagonist starts ranting in typo-ridden allcaps for several minutes... - The spawn points for Clover and Slime, once both have been obtained, become invisible and unpassable tiles. (They aren't an obstacle to gameplay.) There are also various points in the game that seem to have an activation point as standing on a certain floor tile, as opposed to facing a certain solid tile. There is an inconsistency over whether you have to press a button to access a door or not. - Some of the interactible objects are not set to Fixed Direction or Fixed Animation, causing funny things to happen when you activate them, such as the Yellow Dungeon slime princess chest opening despite the dialogue box saying the chest cannot be opened, or a flaming brazier going out when looked at from the tile above. - At some point in the game you get like 30 Golden Beetles out of nowhere. This can occur as soon as the Beetle club is available, at which point you are not at all ready to fight the secret boss that attacks you when you turn enough Golden Beetles in. It's not a forced encounter, but the game gives zero warning and heavily baits you into checking the nearby trash can, at which point the text cheekily says "Dang! It was a secret hidden boss!" - Talking to an enemy twice, Escaping, and re-entering the fight will cause the talk sequence to start as soon as the battle starts. - Most enemies have non-guaranteed drops but only a scant few can be fought more than once. Gorgon and Succubus can only be found in the Blue Dungeon as wrong answer kitties; you can't leave this dungeon until you clear it, which means every time you reload you have to get their answers wrong once and then right. Fortunately, Jiangshi and Host Girl are also found in the Moth Girl battle and missing enemies does not impact Achievements. - Returning from the 2nd area of the Field forest to the 1st causes the go back choice to appear twice. - Scratcher cards give you a ridiculous return on average - 30k+ back for each 4.5k investment - and 50-GP are easily the safest and fastest way to grind Chateux points. Be sure to do the 20-GP cards too until you get the Achievement for the top reward. - Scratcher cards max out at a 99-stack, but you can keep buying more and wasting your points. - If the Shopkeeper as an enemy uses her steal ability on you, the game will tell you that you stole 0 SPM. - Purchasing the Chateaux room gives you a more convenient HQ than the tent+campfire+lake EXCEPT that you can only save the game in your original tent. -_- - If you inflict Drunk on the first form of the final boss, it will begin playing a certain copyright-unfriendly tune (Irish Rovers - Drunken Sailor). This tune is sped up annoyingly and, even once Drunk wears off, will never stop playing until the boss enters his second form. - The game warns you that the final dungeon is No Return. Not only is there no reason for it to be when the equally-urgent dungeons and Chateaux Leagues that came before weren't, but you can still use Tents to save while you're in it. If you make the wrong choice after defeating the last boss you get a Non-Standard Game Over (
the game intentionally traps you in a "time loop" of the same dialogue over and over
), which means you need to reload, and if you didn't use a Tent that means you need to fight about 5 ot 6 encounters over again. Anyway. Pretty good game! Appeals mostly to fetishes thru text, with (vanilla) suggestive and softcore art. Don't take it very seriously.

I like old school RPGs. I love Megaten games. Hell, until today I've only given one RPG Maker game (Badass) a negative review, and that was only because the later dungeons were designed to needlessly waste your time. Yet, I can't stand this game. It's almost like the developer is intentionally trolling the player. The game has several significant failings which suck all the fun out of the experience. I will list them here: 1. The tutorial is incredibly long and boring. The game introduces a metric crapton of unusual status effects, then goes on to barely utilize any combat, let alone the walls of text I read. But you better read it all, otherwise you'll miss out on an item. 2. THE TEXT SCROLLING IS ****ED BEYOND BELIEF. Have you ever played an RPG Maker game that goes back and forth between automatically scrolling the text, and waiting for you to hit the button to advance the text? To make things worse, the auto scrolling (which cannot be disabled) changes speed throughout the game, and will inevitably skip over story and/or instructions without giving you a chance to read it, while 95% of the time wasting your time as you wait for the text to advance. It seems like the idea was to have different sound effects simulating voices for characters, but in practice, the implementation does not work at all. Hit the button to start the conversation, hit it again to advance/end the conversation. How hard is that? It's the default setting in the engine! HOW CAN YOU **** THIS UP?!?!?!? 3. There is almost nothing to fight. I hate punishing encounter rates as much as the next guy, but something feels wrong about gaining 90% of your experience by meditating in a smelly box (seriously) rather than killing enemies. 4. Terrible mini-games. In order to get through the girls' storylines (using that term loosely) you will be subjected to pedantic and poorly explained mini-games. None are fun, but all are poorly implemented. Remember the dance practice in Final Fantasy X-2? Well, nothing here is that "good." 5. The writing is, shall we say, not good. To say nothing of the fact that it desperately needs some proofreading. I especially like the lines that get cut off at the end of the text box. 6. Lots of bugs. Enter a tournament, win your fight, then the game just sits there without bringing out the next opponent. Get to one of the few places with a fight, start a fight, black screen. How do you break RPG Maker? Seriously, how do you do that? I'd like to know. 7. Terrible story progression. To recruit characters and advance their stories you go through dialogs, mostly with 5 choices at a time, and must get them all right to recruit/advance. It was a pain in the ass with a guide. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be without one. 8. The monster encylopedia works when it wants to. Did you talk to a monster? Did you scan it? IT might show up in the encyclopedia, it might not. Not a thing you can do about it. You look at this on paper and would think it can't miss. RPG Maker. Monster girls. Free. It sounds like a good time. Sadly, after being subjected to the product in its current form I can't recommend the experience at all. It's more like a buggy proof-of-concept than a project meant for public consumption.
If you aren't a super speed reader don't bother, all the conversations zip by in literally 2-3 seconds at best and haven't seen any way to slow it down. Looks like an interesting game but doesn't do any good if we can't read the damned story, certainly not here for the graphics.
