Enter the Gungeon + Nuclear Throne + Online coop = Monsters & Monocles
This game was reviewed using a code sent by the developer/publisher but this will NOT effect my opinion/review on this game

Review on behalf of Opium Pulses

Pulsing Through Your Games.

Pros:

– British jokes are on point with the tea and monocles.
– rough-like.
– Weapons are fun to use like a flamethrower and tea gun and a few more which are fun.
– has coop play so if you have a friend goanna be a fun night.
– Online and local coop so if you have online friends then all good.
– Controller support.
– Art work is very nice I like the style.
– Character design is very British.
– A challenge and a half 1 life to get it all done.
– Bosses are really cool with their ability’s.
– Collectable relics.
Please don’t take these cons so seriously as the Devs may change some of my cons in the future after Early Access Review
Cons:

– Story is not the best but explains how the monsters appeared.
– Re used enemies like we wolves and then zombie wolf (can’t remember their name but they both do the same attacks.)
– Better with friends.
– The cost is a bit too much for the state but hopefully updated more it will be worth it.
Conclusion:
Don’t mistake this game to be easy as it is punishing and can make you throw your controller at the wall. At the current state I think it’s really good if they add more feature or enemies ect this will be a very good game and will be on people wish list.

Rating [th]7.0/10[/th]

This game was really fun when I started, but it got boring rather quick :(
It might be difficult for Monsters & Monocles to stand out from the crowd in a suddenly very busy top-down shooter market, but the game is definitely fun and should be worth the value when all the content is released. I'm not a huge Steampunk fan but I am a fan of M&M's horror-movie rogue's gallery, which brings back memories of Zombies Ate My Neighbors (hey, devs, how about a mission objective to rescue hostages?). It is true that when you find the weapons you like, you will probably stick with them, but there are plenty of effective weapons in the game. I was a big fan of the heavy machine gun and slime cannon, but the crumpet cannon, spreadshot, and blunderbuss are also effective in various scenarios. Right now the difficulty feels about right for the three-zone loop, although I wonder if it will need to be balance-checked when they eventually get to six zones (three lives is not a lot to last on a two hour run!). The relics are alright but the temporary items are a lot more fun and when you get a bunch of them in one life, you become an unstoppable nightmare. I don't know where to fit this in the review but I also like the amount of destruction, all sorts of props can be destroyed from pots to tables and chairs to streetlights. I wish that shooting props would maintain your combo meter (it's a lot easier to get to MAX in the mansion than in the tomb or the city) but I still mindlessly empty every room with bullets regardless. It's hard to screw up a top-down shooter and the important thing is that Monsters & Monocles doesn't. I'm not sure that it brings anything particularly new to the table, but it's a fun flavor and a good ride while it lasts. There's going to be a content update soon that adds a 4th zone, it took me about 2 hours and a couple of runs to achieve a "loop" of the first three zones, so I would expect that the finished game will take you maybe 5-6 hours to see everything and a 90 minute perfect run to achieve a loop.
Honestly one of my favorite games on Steam to date. Not only because I'm on Mac (gross I know) but it doesn't kill my battery as fast as other titles like it. As far as gameplay, in recent updates the game has drastically gotten harder and that's a good thing. I really do like the constant progression as a reward for staying alive. Ditching the two life system was probably one of the best things the devs have done (in my opinion at least). Overall, I'd recommend this game to any that's not really into a super deep item pool like The Binding of Issac, but is interested in learning this particular style of game.
Buggy camera that snaps awkwardly. Early gunplay so unfun that I'm done already.
It's pretty repetitive and tedious. Levels are too long and lack depth. I at least appreciate the pixel-graphics.
Awesome!! Wish they release more maps :x
I enjoyed this game immensely. A monster shooting good time. Grab a few friends and try not to die. They made it just hard enough to be challenging but not too hard to win. Check out me and some friends playing it, having a blast. Theres a few more vids on our respective channels as well, with more to come. Super fun co-op action! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgeDwQrcvuI
Ждите релиза
, игра хорошая, но пока что в ней очень мало контента, поэтому в раннем доступен покупать не рекомендую. В целом надпоминает Enter the Gungeon.
