Crappy English is what we first meet on this game's store page.. and the fact that the game itself opens as Craft Monster, while it should be named Monster Mix, is the usual sign of something made up within few hours..
But I'm reviewing only non-free to play games!
Craft Monster actually looks like the title that the whole project has always had, since it stays the same if you play in windowed mode.
And even in the beginning of the game we start to see all those features I hate. Ow, that's the contrary.. I mean: we don't see the things I would like to see.
No tutorial. No menu. No options. No settings. Nothing.
You're provided with a non-selectable level in an aquatic setting (the music is something awful, it's impossible to play with those weird effects) and there will be some kind of bubble spawning. More and more bubbles will fill the screen and you'll essentially given the skeleton of a clicker game.
Clicking on the new monsters (or whatever they are, they're supposed to be monsters although they look all like balls with eyes and different colors) will change their color and nature and eventually you'll get a new monster on the screen, thus going on with the incrementation of your screen's population.
As I said, no tutorial is given - that always seems to me something like "go ♥♥♥♥ yourself, I made this thing in 10 minutes, you paid for it and I'm not explaining anything to ya".
You'll then learn that you can also drag the monsters and not only click on the basic bubbles. You'll mix them, as the title (on Steam, not in-game..) says, in order to create new monsters - there's a total of 40+, as the developers said.
The achievements are so poorly made that you can't draw anything from them - they're all named Orange_2, Blue_4 and so on.. that says a lot about the game's quality.
The game goes on like this. You keep on clicking on the "lowest", "simplest" monsters (i.e.: colored balls) while you also drag the newly-created ones in order to make a new one which is basically the same as the previous ones.. they don't even have names, characterization or anything. Just different colors and little else, as one can see even through the game's screenshots.
The mechanics are extremely minimalistic and, most of all, stupid and not rewarding - the monster that I'll call 1 will couple with 1 and make a 2, then you'll have to click on some 0s (the basic orange balls) to make 1s, then drag them in order to make another 2, then drag the 2 to the exact same 2 you created before and you'll create a 3.
This is how the game works. The only button you can push simply resets the game, which has a single level.
So, it's not properly a clicker.. it's more of a kids' crappy mobile game with some "cute" 2D monsters to drag around.
Definitely to avoid.
