Played on a Steamdeck @MatureContent
This is a puzzle platformer made for very small children, my guess would be in the ages from 4-6. Almost all movements are automatic and all the player has to do is move obstacles out of the way to clear the path for the characters. You can't really lose or kill any characters, if something goes wrong, they usually just freeze in an animation loop till you cleared the path correctly. There are 6 different worlds, each with a different theme from Nick Jr. shows, like Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol. Each world has a small selection of levels within them that adds up together to a total of 72 levels. For an adult, this game can be completed quite fast, but for a 5 year old child it would take considerably longer and probably be a fine pickup that they can sink a lot of hours into. So why do I not recommend it? Pretty much the entire reason I can't get myself to recommend this game is that it is priced unreasonably high. They ask 40 bucks and when you look at this game design wise, it feels lazy and repetitive. Every level is built on the same structure with only a slight variation in the obstacles and a different skin applied. It doesn't matter what world you are in, you still do the same thing as the last and I can't recommend paying 40 bucks for something that took minimal effort to make. So if you want this for your kid or something like that, get a cheap key somewhere and definitely do not pay the full 40 bucks they ask. ————————————————————————————— Help me out by following my Curator, I’d really appreciate it!!
I get i'm not the target audience, but the game came in a bundle and I wanted the achievements. Anyway It wasn't bad at first (with the target audience in mind) but the paw patrol levels were glitched so much that I dont think there was any testing done on it. Had to keep restarting levels because the elevators were stuck. Sometimes the firetruck wasn't as responsive either on those levels.
you did the level once, how about doing it 3 more times??? gameplay evolves in small ways but its still the same thing over and over - cant play with keyboard + lots of cosmetics to unlock - INSANE 40$ price + voice acting + solid animation + works just fine on windows 7 - sometimes the players will get stuck and stop moving when running the game at 10 times the speed solid game for little kids, just a STUPID INSANE PRICE
The most impressive feature of this game for me, an adult that is NOT the target audience, is that it teaches kids to play games while they are having fun playing the game. While playing for review and streaming, my 4-year-old, spectrum son came in. When he saw the screen, he got a huge smile on his face immediately. The colors and inclusion of many characters he loves in one world was captivating. The facts that kids only have to learn a few buttons at first and new concepts are introduced over time also makes this game approachable. The content is appropriate in terms of scope and length for the intended player. It isn't long, but my kids would happily play it several times over. There are unlockable items and different ways to approach the levels. The character creator is another staple of video games that kids get a chance to learn about, and in this case it is also utterly adorable. Changing costumes is super fun, and you can come up with super silly combinations from their favorite shows that will be very appealing to the younger audience. Overall, if you are a gamer and you want to introduce your kids to gaming with a game that teaches them to play, this game is an excellent choice.
A very easy and quick 100%. The achievements are simple and mostly tied to just finishing the levels and basic activities. Not challenging at all, but a smooth completion if you’re just cleaning up achievements and adding another 100% to the list.
Hinweis
Gameplay
Achievement Schwierigkeit 2/10
Es gibt insgesamt 19 Erfolge. Hierfür muss man einfach jedes Level beenden und dabei jeweils alle 3 Gegenstände einsammeln
Pro/Contra
+ Familienfreundlich + 6 Welten die jeweils eine der Nick Jr. Shows representieren + Original Deutsche Sprecher + Mehere Kostüme & Zubehör zum Freischalten + Achievements + XBox 360 Controller Support - Der Grundpreis ist viel zu Hoch (10€ hätten hier völlig ausgereicht)
Fazit

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow third group
Cute game, decently challenging for young kids. There are more levels than I expected, and many things to unlock. Gameplay is repetitive but, considering this is a kids' game, that's not a really big complaint. I do wish there was a bit more stuff to do (like decorating a room or something). Maybe wait for this game to be on sale to buy it. For me personally, I was just a tiny bit disappointed that the game's visuals didn't really reference the channel branding in an obvious way (in the world select screen, mainly), but that's just me lol
I understand this is a game for toddlers, but WHY did you have to make it so ALL 4 CHARACTERS FINISH when you already figured out the puzzle. Also, there was no indication that RB/RT sped the game up 2x so until halfway through completing, I didn't know. Also, it's essentially the same puzzle with 6 coats of paint, so definitely not worth the $40 it's listed at
