It started in your foot. Now it’s in your head. All that remains is the command: GO UP. Meet strange neighbors. Make bad trades. Every ascent teaches you what you should have done differently.

About
The only thought left is: GO UP.
The building has thirty floors. Your body has problems - hunger, thirst, exhaustion. The infection doesn’t care. It only wants altitude.
Your body is in shambles... but the foot keeps climbing.
The building is not haunted. The people in it are not monsters - and they want things. Junk. Food. Favors. Someone to do something mildly humiliating to their neighbor.
A few of them know things they shouldn't. And maybe what they know has something in common.
You're the only one collecting the pieces.
The building is the same every time you climb it. The neighbors are the same. The trades are the same. The vending machine on the ground floor has the same stock.
What changes is what you know.
Every run, you learn something. A shortcut. A better trade. An item you thought was useless until it saved your life. Slowly, the building starts to make sense.
You’ll know what to do next time.
But your foot isn’t waiting.
MOLDRISE features a full-length original soundtrack, composed by Mike Klubnika, creator of Buckshot Roulette, s.p.l.i.t., and Machine Party.
First-person survival horror. Retro aesthetics. A thirty-floor apartment building with no empty floors and no happy endings.

gud :o
One of the best indie games I've played in a while, everything about it just fits and creates a unique, unsettling atmosphere (in the best way possible)! The game reminded me a little bit of No, I'm Not A Human, probably because of it's "topic" and some mechanics. Speaking of mechanics, the game does a great job using those and the game loop without making it annoying at all. Every playthrough let's you use the information you got in the one before, I really enjoyed thinking about what the next smartest move would be. TLTR, I absolutely recommend this game even for the slightly higher price (for a indie game), I am really excited for more games of this dev in the future!

Outer Wilds ma fatto bene.
What a wonderfully fun little game. perfect for an afternoon, exploring all the different characters and methods to go up, up, up.
OH! THIS ONE CAN READ?! all I know is I must go up. Gross soupy foot sounds. Water fountain of life. The floor is lava... Things get nuts. Apply lotion daily for best results. Talk to Linda, she makes great tea.
Fun game. Enjoyed the aesthetic and the quirky dialogue. For a single developer who made this with OSS - it's impressive. One caveat is that it's fairly short and once you figure out the survival mechanics, it's pretty easy to finish. I finished in just over 90 minutes, but I can see others playing for 2-4 hours. There is definitely some hidden things that I missed and different ways to solve puzzles. So there is some replayability. If you enjoy a dark, indie-developed horror, I would say this game is a good buy. However, I can see how some might not be able to justify the $10 price tag for a shorter experience.
Simple gameplay and smart concept for a fun game.
fun little game!
haha its disgusting and pushing .. good thing that the progress of becoming insane is stopped when talking to the freak neighbours or when standing still (and i bought the game bc its somehow a survival game)
MOLDRISE is a short and strange horror game where each failed attempt teaches you more about the unsettling apartment building, its residents and hidden secrets. The atmosphere, grotesque art style, and bizarre characters are such highlights that you have to see for yourself. Some may complain that they find the infection, hunger, and thirst meters frustrating but it helps create constant tension (especially on the infected mode). Story Mode reduces this issue, so go for that if you feel the infected mode is too punishing. It takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, and albeit limited replay value, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans of experimental indie horror.
