Game is well made, visuals are good, no glitches as of yet quite possibly the best batting practice VR game in the market but lacks content, why don't we have as of yet a full fledged 9 inning baseball game? I'm sure it will sell like hot cakes so what's the delay? I recommend the game only on it's visuals it's immersive but do we really need another batting practice VR game? The first baseball video game was released in 1976, it's 2018 and all you can come up with for VR is another stand in place and swing at the ball game? What gives? Make a full 9 inning game already! :::smh:::
Awesome Start. Need option to speed up or slow down pitches. Vive tracker support so I can use a real bat. More stadiums. This would be a great simulator for kids to learn timing of ball. Also have pitcher throw differnent pitches, High low etc!!!!!!
FUN Game + Lots of stadiums + Decent batting + Stats/feedback -Lacks sim, rarely miss ball -Some weak swings still go out of the park -Timer runs tons while waiting for the ball to come down -WISH it had PITCHING or FIELDING like full games even if charged much more!!!
Batting always makes the ball go to the left, regardless of the inclination of the bat (even on the PSVR version there is the same issue since the release more than one year ago), poor content, no haptic feedback, you can't quit a game until the end, and it costs 16,79€ !! Too bad, because graphics are great and all is very well done ! And now, we need a full baseball game in VR (pitching, batting, running, catching, all is possible in VR) !
I havent been able to obtain a ps4 for MLB The Show...But this definitely holds me over until I can buy one. This game is one of the most immersive games ive played in a while and it runs incredibly smooth. It also gives such a good presence when you are in the box. It feels like you're really there, with the crowd cheering you on and the announcer booming to everyone that you've just hit a homerun. The graphics are very high quality and it just feels amazing. Best homerun simulator on the market. But just like any other game, this has its fair share of flaws. When batting righty, no matter how you hit the ball, you can not hit opposite field. I feel as if the game always wants me to pull the ball. even when bunting and the bat is postioned in such a way to hit to right field as a righty, the ball connects with the bat and goes to the opposite location, always to the left side. It feels like there is a "homing ball" aspect of some sort. It is defnitely something the developers should look into. For a game just released, it exceeds my expectations. I hope in the future, they would add the ability to adjust speed of the ball and add more baseball parks. This game is very fun if you just want to crush a ball 415 feet everytime.
I bought this game several months ago and I just noticed the other day there was a big update! 30 STADIUMS NOW! Up from around 4 or 5 There might have been other updates added but their isn't a list of what was updated. Enjoy all! (I use the Valve Index and I have experienced no problems with it.)
I've been waiting for a fun baseball game and this is satisfying. It is what it says.. a Homerun derby. There are 3 stadiums so far. Play in Miami, Washington or Cleveland. All are very realistic and the the graphics are gorgeous. If you are competitive you will play this game a lot to try to move up on the leaderboard. You will see my name at the top of the list as I had one great outing and scored 8000+ points in one game. You can see how much time I put into this though lol Will like to see more ballparks added and a feature to change the speed of the pitches. This has potential and I recommend it if you enjoy baseball VR games.
Good Home Run Derby Game. Would like to see a "Balls and Strike" game added.
They fixed this game.. It's much better in the latest update. They added a new stadium and the hitting feels great (Vive). The only downside is the bat seems small. but still fun. I've played all of the VR batting games and this one is the most fun. It's polished like a real arcade game which makes it a perfect game to show people and must-have in your VR demo lineup. If you're looking for something more realistic check out VR Dream Match Baseball which is also very fun but more of a sim.
The game does its job, but it could also do it a lot better. It's fun, but has some issues, one of them serious. Because it's not expensive and I did still have fun, so I'll recommend it, even though it's more of a thumbs sideways. The positives: -The immersion is good. -It's fun to swing at balls and follow their path through the air. -It's satisfying when you get a home run. -Unlike other reviewers, I had no issues hitting to all the sides of the field. The negatives: -Only 4 ballparks to play in. It would be a lot more fun to play in the park of my favorite team(s). More parks would add more playability. -No haptic feedback on contact with the ball. -The pitcher pitches too low. All my settings were correct and I was always standing while playing, yet I was golfing for the pitches, which led to high arcing hits that took forever to land, eating up my time on the clock. I'm a short person, but I'm not as short as the pitcher thinks. -THE GAME NEEDS TO CENTER ON THE BATTER'S BOX, NOT HOME PLATE! I have a plenty large playing area, but because I was way off center trying to get a good position over the plate I was almost backed up to a wall, and I smacked my hand into a bookshelf that is *nowhere* near me in normal play, nearly breaking my thumb. This is a serious problem devs, and it needs to be addressed. You already know what side the player will be hitting from, center that side, not home plate! That's all I can think of. Just be aware that you'll want a massive playing area to play this game safely. 10'x10' if not larger. And it's not gonna improve your batting average. This is fun, but not realistic.
