Whilst I'm only a couple hours in as of writing this review, Mixed Spirits is a very casual friendly game! What is interesting is that there are plot pathways for the characters that visit the bar. I'm not super attached to the story at the moment, but then again I'm only a couple hours in as of writing this. The actual gameplay is soothing and very easy to grasp and as someone with a tight schedule, a game like this is a good one after a busy day. There's a casual mode (which I play on) and a hard mode which you are able to challenge yourself time-wise but I prefer pacing myself and making pretty drinks! You can buy all sorts of mixers and additional items such as different style glasses and I think the drink customization, whilst being the core part of the game, is really cool. The only downside is, is that the gameplay can get a little repetitive. I don't play too much in one sitting and I assume that it's a bigger thing late into the game when you don't have anything to unlock etc. However for me, that's not a huge deal, it may be for others. All in all, LOVE THE COWBOY, love me a cowboy, this is a great game with BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER DESIGN. The actual characters? All chef's kiss, they're all so pretty and so unique and the actual art style is so soothing and beautiful!

Hours of my life have been dedicated to this game without regret. The art style is bright & fresh. Its gameplay loop is easy to learn, and in time, not too difficult to master. I was eager to see each and every character to grace the counter & introduce themselves: and even more eager to learn their stories as they made repeat visits. The developers worked fast to alleviate the bugs I, and other players, had experienced. They had done due diligence to adjust the brewing feature to make the turnout a lot more worthwhile for the time & financial cost. My only complaint is a nitpick at worst, and I don't ultimately believe it detracts from the overall experience of the game. In fact, I feel like some of it is intentional, but it still remains on my mind as I attempt to 100% the game to get the full narrative experience. Pacing. I chalk this up to the theming of the game, however, I met what I would call the main characters within an hour or so. I found myself confused and surprised by the hoisting of emotional responsibilities upon the player character right until the conclusion of the main plot. The narrative gets heavily emotional and abstract in a way I felt I'd missed something entirely despite reading all of the provided dialogue. Speaking of dialogue, I wish that there were descriptions of what characters were physically doing. We get implications in our bartender's notes & subtle hints in the dialog options during "heart events". As the bartender is an extremely vigilant vessel for those around them - I feel it would be nice if we could get a bit of their inner monologue as they observe their clientele during a conversation. Without getting into the thick of it and risking spoilers, I understand the superficial nature of the dialog the bartender has with others, but I find myself wanting more as their relationships progress & it's implied that they come into their own. I'm not sure if others feel the same, and I would hate to discourage anyone from playing the game, but I find myself wanting more from the visual novel aspect that the minigames don't fill. TL;DR: It's a good game! It's pretty, the things you can do are fresh and interesting, and the attention to detail keeps things fresh. The dialog and pacing is a bit awkward, but that doesn't detract from the experience as a whole.
Lovely game, very relaxing & engaging. The stories, music, and art are definitely the standouts. The requests for the drinks are very easy to match, though. Maybe this changes later on, but I am at level 27, and most people will only have 1-3 special requests for the drink. If I had ONE thing to tell the developers, it would be that instead of 'hard-mode' just adding a timer, it should allow the customers to have more special requests for the drink, because as it stands, you don't really have to be creative with most people. Adding that nuance would make the game a little bit more interesting.
If you've played another RDuck game, you'll probably know if you'll like this. It's been released with a ton of bugs, the tutorial is incomplete, and it feels like it needs many more chapters to be complete. However, if you are willing to understand that, and get the game on sale or bundled, you'll get an interesting new time management/ job simulator game. This one has a lot of potential with the story, but it is a little rough at the time of the review with some responses not making sense. The sheer amount of ingredients is completely overwhelming, and I think the biggest failing of this game is they aren't trickled in, but you get shelves and shelves to start with. So I feel like I haven't really gotten to "know" all the mixers. On the other hand, that means more replaying until I understand, so... if you enjoy RD's line of similar games, and the price is under 7USD, it's a good waste of time.
For a cozy game i was lowkey not expecting life lessons, the art style and character development are really well done.
鲁克,这机车好大,啊不是这仍子好快
Adorei o jogo!
