About
Mitnal is a short passion project by a solo developer where you play as Emily, not an adventurer, but someone who loves history and trusts the person who invited her.
Her brother has always been the explorer. He tells her the site is safe. Incredible. Something people wait their whole lives to see. Against her better judgment and driven by curiosity, she goes.
Experience a dense jungle approach, a weathered stone temple, and the catacombs. What begins as quiet exploration slowly turns unsettling.
Murals, relics, and abandoned equipment suggest that something was uncovered and that the site was never meant to be entered this way. As Emily descends deeper, it becomes clear that her brother may have misunderstood what he was dealing with… or ignored it entirely.
This is a focused atmospheric horror experience built around exploration, tension, and environmental storytelling. The temple reveals its secrets slowly through murals, relics, and subtle details in the environment.
Players who take their time to observe and explore will uncover more of what truly happened here.
Some discoveries are not meant to be shared.
Some invitations should never be accepted.

For starters - this is the first game of this format I've come across in however long it's been since ai started gaining popularity that doesn't use ai. AI aside, this is a very compelling game with a stunningly beautiful world design and a unique story. Also, honorable mention to the soundtrack. It is absolutely haunting, and I mean this in the most complementary way possible.. 10/10 no notes
Graphically a nice game though the AI looking logo on the plane distracted me quite bit. Other than that this game suffers from being very short along with what I call Unreal Engine jumpscares though its a bit different to where its not too bad. Going back to the jumpscares most of the time they are random just to spook you and the entity disappears. You don't get chased by anything in this game all, they are pretty much ghosts I guess lol. The worst part of this game is the lever pulling to progress on which ruins the atmosphere in my opinion since it involves looking at everything imaginable to find where it is. Story wise I thought the plot was good though but like I mentioned before the game is very short along with being pretty condensed since it took me 40 mins to beat the game. Voice acting is good along with the graphics being great. I would give this game a neutral rating if I could but I enjoyed it a bit though I would recommend getting it on sale since its basically just a walking sim with a condensed story. https://youtu.be/kaDvclAIdOc
素材库里的粗糙建模、 无趣的jump scare 30分钟的流程 全程走路 开机关 开门 然后游戏结束 你怎么好意思卖24块的 2块4我都嫌多
Was für eine kleine, wunderschöne Indie-Horror-Perle! Hier passt meiner Meinung nach ALLES zusammen. Ich habe JEDE. EINZELNE. SEKUNDE. GENOSSEN! (genau wie mit NotHuman)
For $5 USD this game is a 5/5 star game all day long! It took me about 50-55 minutes to complete and it would have been quicker but I spent some time looking for poop and I never found poop to touch lol (see achievements), Visually the game looks amazing! The only thing I wish that was different was that we could turn off the motion blur. I really dislike motion blur in games and at the start in the jungle it made me a bit dizzy but wasn't as bad inside the temple ruins. The audio was great and fit perfectly I wish the red hand that appeared in game when you could touch/pickup something was about 3 times larger as at times it made it a bit hard to see until I got used to it. The storyline was cool and I liked the touch at the very end after the credits that had a mini scene to further the lore. Do I sense a sequel? Controls where good, i ended up playing with k&m since you aren't able to rebind controller controls to buttons you want. It was certainly scary at times with several jump scares. I enjoyed the aspect that nothing could kill you and it was more of a walking simulator horror.
This is an absolute gem of a horror game. The setting is what drew me in, a horror game in a Mayan ruin? Count me in for something different! I did not have high expectations going in, but was very pleasantly surprised by the storytelling, the graphics, and the voice acting. Most of the jumpscares were good, I think when you play a ton of horror games you can get the feel for when some are coming but some did get me. The assets were very original, and there is one room that I adored where there is so much detail in to what is going on. You definitely want to take the time to look around. I am linking my YT playthrough however as always I recommend you check it out first yourself! https://youtu.be/hamciExor5o
Just finished my playthrough of your game. I loved it. The atmosphere was great, the build felt paced appropriately. The story was great and doesn't seem like a rehash like I'm used to seeing. All around I feel it's a 10/10. Keep it up I'll have a video up on my YT channel at 7am CST on 3/10/26. I will post a link to my channel if you would like to check it out. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing more of your creations at work. https://www.youtube.com/@SkyPirateGaming
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING GAME!!! JUMP SCARES ARE ON POINT, ALSO THE STORY IS CHILLING. STAY FOR THE END CREDIT MUSIC 10/10
i dont usually rate horror indie games due thier lack of originality but this one has an original setting with above average story to tell BUT the music choices here .. OH man .. although they were breaking the intensity of the game BUT OMG they were magical .. i would buy the game just for them Pros : 1- setting and graphics 2- MUSIC 3- Voice acting of some characters done well here Cons : 1- very cheap jumpscares 2- optimization very bad 3- nothing is taken from other games " No AI slop " generally speaking i would recommended this game if u already know what ur getting ur self into and would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to check the good tracks here waiting for similar projects since thier first game was ok at best " Absum "
Tja, schöne Grafik. Ein für mich interessantes Setting, ABER ZU VIELE JUMPSCARES! Und noch so unlogische.....nein, ich brauche eine Horror-Game Pause.
