About
The witches are long gone. The blighted wasteland covered in mist they created remains. Build a colony of former familiars. Brave the toxic mists and maybe even restore the environment to what it once was.
Make the perfect city for industrious cats with magical jobs. Manage food, power, and resources to keep your city growing. Unlock new technologies, buildings, and production chains that improve their quality of life and help you restore the environment.
Collect the mists that cover this world, convert it into water, and pour it into ravines. Grow grass for your crops and to make your cats happy. Craft explosives to blast new ravines and make your own rivers wherever you'd like.
The wasteland you find yourself in will occasionally remind that you're not welcome. Spores will rain down and spread amongst your city, spreading hazardous gloom creep. Gloom creep will kill your crops and make your cats sick if you're not prepared. Important note: this game does NOT contain cat death! Sick cats just can't work until they're healed by a cat cleric.
Your cats will let you know if they're not happy. Keep them fed with a variety of food, grow them grass to play on, build them a scratching post, and, most importantly, keep their litter box clean.
🐈 Build a city for cats.
🏭 Manage resources like wood, food, and fuel with production chains to support your growing cat population.
🔬 Research new buildings and technologies.
📈 Balance kitten birth rates, crop growth, cat happiness, research, and power production to grow your city.
🌊 Reshape and terraform the land. Fill in old ravines and make new ones with explosives. Fill them with water for your farms or ink for fuel.
⛈️ Endure storms that will put a strain on your workers and your economy if you're unprepared.
⚙️ Customize your start with advanced settings. Adjust things like storm frequency, cat hunger rate, and workplace power draw.
🏖️ Relax in a colorful and chill atmosphere without fear of harsh punishment or failure. Your cats will not die if you accidentally run out of food. (But they will be very upset with you.)
🎨 Creative mode let's you freely place any building, control weather events, and take care of your cats without any worries at all.

My First thoughts about this Game: I had this game on my wishlist for a few months, so I’m definitely excited that it released :3 What I like: -The art style may be simple, but I still absolutely love it, it’s just so adorable ^^ -Cozy soundtrack. -I love when some job professions, change the appearance of the Cats, such as the Janitor. -I personally like it that the game is not to complex (but I’m of course only 2 hours in). -You can quickly enter the game, without having to wait for long, also the startup screen/Main Menu is cute and well done in my opinion. -There would be many more things which I like, but I think it’s better to focus on the things which I don’t like, since the game just dropped, and I want to give feedback. What I don’t like: -Would be nice if all job professions, had unique designs for the cats, and it would be very nice, if we had more pattern based Cat colors. (I also think that there could have been, more unique colors in the Supporter pack). -The UI looks fine, but it would still need a touch up in my opinion. -Idk if this is possibly, but would be nice to go over 60FPS. -A statistic menu for the world you are playing on, would be so nice. Especially so you see what enhancements you already got, and how many there are. -The price of the game could be a big factor, especially when people may look over the Steam page/trailers, and think that this may be to expensive for what the game could offer to them. (I personally just wanted to support the game)
I'm really enjoying this game! I loved WitchHand a whole lot, and this is a good difference from that while still giving me similar feelings of progression I loved. It feels a bit more relaxed, and with that there's a lot of room in my playthru for efficiency improvements in my play style. I should be able to have fun replaying the game a bunch in the future with new save files! I'm a few hours in but I feel like I've got a lot left to uncover, both mechanically and on the map itself!
Coated in Fur and Mana
I purchased this game last night after a long week of work and watching the first, 1 min long trailer you'll find above. These are the reasons I decided to buy it (aside from the other pawsitive reviews) a) cats b) magic cats c) cute, calming color palette and design, d) city building. Things I all enjoy.
The Good

Color palette and graphics appealed to me immediately, and did not diminish during the game. The wizardy and worker cat's synchronized swaying was oddly soothing and matched the rythm of the background soundtrack. (I could see how this might not appeal to some, so happy to say there is a setting to turn that off in game.)
Tutorial made sense.
Game doesn't present anything too out-there to those of us familiar with city builders that we can't figure things out.
LOL, litterboxes.
Keyboard controls were easy and made sense, and the ability to switch to mouse, too.
Soundtrack: Matches the games overall aesthetic, sits in the background of the game nicely but is recognizable and chill enough
Mysterious villain?

Accessibility
I can't speak to that outside of difficulty setting, as I did not adjust anything else (and that caused the game to crash, so I just played it on normal everything.) But I do have mobility issues in my hands, wrists and elbows and I can say that 2 hours of playing did not make anything hurt. Your mileage will always vary.
The Slightly Glitchy
I use two monitors, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. Despite changing the settings during the 1st load after purchase and download, the game Did Not Enjoy That, and behaved as if it were minimized. However, the window ceased to exist. Game still running, but run where? I had to hunt it down and close it and re-start. No problem! Go to start a new game + update setting. Oooo, Advanced? Tinker with setting. Close out of settings, got the achievement for it! Game window Also Did Not Enjoy That, and disappeared. Third time was the charm! Was able to enjoy the rest of the evening's game play. Today, however, as I opened the game it appears to have forgotten my resolution + display choices. I note a few seconds before I began to write this review there was an update so maybe that will fix that, hooray?
What I Don't Know / Can't Speak On
I didn't use my bluetooth controller for this one, I used my keyboard, so I can't speak on how it plays on a controller.
Recommend?
YES! Double yes if a cozy city builder with mysterious villain(s), storms, city building, litter box strategy, management, cat, cats in wizard hats game sounds appealing, yes!
It's basically cat timberborn, with many familiar mechanic. Water irrigation, happiness system and even wonder monument end goal. Even following the theme of human are gone and the only animal left is one sapient specie looking to reclaim the planet. What differ is mist management that blocks view and dark one constantly expanding. Its great if you just want something similiar but much more relaxed and simple. It is however a short game, I've already built the wonder and beaten the game.
This is such a lovely game!!! I did have some complaints, but they got resolved within the first day of release! Which is SUPERP! I think this game is perfect!! :)
I adore cats with a burning passion; I have one myself and she is my very own slice of space~! :) Thus, when my wife originally gifted me this game the day prior, sharing it as two of my favorite things (Cats & Town Builders/Management Sim) I have not stopped playing it for the past two days. My trial run I spent about ~6 hours or so, getting a feel for the mechanics only to get sucked in for an extra two hours then intended; hopped to a new, different save, now knowing the basics, and beat it in just under 5. I can not stress enough, just how giddy this game makes me. I've started a trend with myself since the second save - that I absolutely carried over to my third, new/current save (A "hard mode" of sorts; using the advance settings feature) which is to rename any and every cat I gain as a different car! Missed the opportunity to call said save "Car Dealership", but hey - that can just become the fourth save~! Anyway, this game is delightful and anyone who loves cats should give this game a shot. The visual graphics are adorable, the mechanics are easy to grasp, (like I mentioned) you can rename your cats, and even change their color! Just remember to take breaks instead of playing for two days straight. ;^^ Great game ~! <3
Extremely fun, addictive and cute. I adore this game and recommend it to anyone that loves city builder/sim type games and cats.
Amazing game, though it would be nice if you could select several buildings at once to move them.
Very enjoyable experience, fun overall and good progression. Only issue I encountered was that two times the game randomly crashed but I didn't lose that much progress and it might just be a problem with my device. Game was very fun and a chill experience. Reminded me of some classic citybuilder/factory games.
