thought it was gonna b another generic extraction clone but the combat is straight up souls-like. parries feel SO good n when u finally extract with a bag full of loot after heaps of teams tried to jump u... that rush feeling is unreal. for the price this is a no brainer. lol @ all the negative reviews btw - so silly ...."cant play solo" - guy it LITERALLY says team extraction pvpve on the store page. what did you expect? "laggy servers / stutter" - bro it launched like a week ago, every extraction game is rough day 1. mine runs fine now after the last patch. "only 2 maps / unbalanced classes" - yeah and? better to have 2 banger maps than 10 trash ones. they will add more, balance patches already coming. ignore the haters, most of them are just mad they got rolled in pvp and crying in chat. Typical. if you like souls combat give it a try, its worth it. If not then return it. Without crying.
A Surprisingly Good PvP Soulslike
This game has been a lot of fun so far. The graphics look great in my opinion, and after playing a lot of Blackarrow, Sorcerer and Withered Knight, I can honestly say that every class I've tried feels amazing to play. Some matchups are definitely harder than others, and some classes have a much higher learning curve, but it feels amazing when you start to master your class and win fights. My review is mostly based around solos, as I haven't played much trios.
The good :
- The PvP is addictive and gives me "For Honor" vibes, for those who have played that game. That is the core component of the game, and it certainly delivers. - The PvE is alright and quite easy, which makes sense. I personally find playing melee classes more annoying than playing ranged ones for the PvE aspect, but that's just me. - I'll mention it again, the graphics and audio of the game is on point. Whether you like fighting with a greatsword, shooting arrows, or using magic, this game will give you the feel you're looking for.
The bad :
- The leveling system. While I agree that there is a need for a progression system to keep players engaged, locking the talent tree behind a leveling system is not it. Some classes are genuinely awful to play while leveling, you're basically cannon fodder for other classes until you complete the talent tree. - Inventory space, one of my biggest frustrations. I often find myself getting into a fight with one or two players very early into the game, loot enough from their bodies to completely fill my inventory, which forces me to extract less than five minutes into the game. It happens very often and it's just annoying. There should be more incentive to actually take risks and stay longer. - The other major issue for me is performance. The game feels poorly optimized, and I experience FPS drops pretty frequently. The game would feel much, much better if it ran smoothly. - The lack of a duo mode. Playing trios with only one friend and having a random third player is painful more often than not. Because of that, a friend and I usually just queue solo at the same time and talk about what is happening in our respective games. A proper duo mode would give us a much better way to play together without having to deal with a random teammate. Overall, a very nice game that would benefit a lot from updates that would lead it in the right direction.
please make D3
pretty decent game 7/10 for the genre. stability issues off launch are to be expected, maps are decent with demi bosses and map bosses throughout. pvp could have more depth like D&D has but this combat plays more like enshrouded. no need for the negative review bombs game is fine and definitely worth the price.
unplayable lag fest.
