kinda frutrating, glad I played it but it's pretty outdated
The visuals hold up well even to this day.
Although I'm not all that into platformers, this game was a fun little experience. The aesthetic and soundtrack of this game are top notch. The game for the most part controls well as a platformer, but there were times where it became frustrating to tell what could and couldn't be interacted with. One example from my playthrough was when I tried to climb on top of a forklift to jump over a fence which was required to progress the construction level and the game refused, only allowing me to use the truck despite both objects being tall enough to let me jump over. I also ran into a bug where I accidentally went into an earlier part of the mall level and returned to it being unloaded which made me go into the void and forced me to reset the level. Other than that, it was quite satisfying learning the movement system and I might someday return to try the time trials or do a hard mode run. Overall it's an enjoyable game and worth picking up during a steam sale.
nerd3 anyone?

This game is so peak. Played this so many times as a kid and it still holds up. This came out so long ago yet somehow no game has ever come close to the look and feel of what this offers besides Catalyst. We desperately need a 3rd one
хорошая паркур игра, жаль короткая
Picked it up after being intrigued by the artstyle ever since I first saw it. Game came out when I was 2 years old so wasn't there for when this game was meant to be played. But even now, the game still looks great. Every sound track in so magical and immersive, I find myself listening to the main menu theme and The Shard's puzzle track outside of the game regularly. The story itself is a 6.8/10 for me, but what really makes it great is the world building. The situation that Mirror's Edge is in shares an eerie amount of similarities to our world now, about lacking privacy and such. The world is grounded and believable. The parkour itself felt a bit frustrating at times, but functions very well and it relatively intuitive. Still a great game, even in 2026. (p.s. turn off physx ifyou're on remotely modern hardware.)
vuruş hissi 0 olasada iyi oyun
PS3 classic that I played over, and over, and over in 2009-2011. Back in the day I was a kid mesmerized by the parkour mechanic, the cutting edge graphics, and the incredible setting of the futuristic "City" of glass and white-painted concrete. The idea of a world where security is so tight that, to have some privacy, people pay parkour couriers to relay messages on paper for them was always so fascinating to me. So here I am, 17 years later, in a world where security is tighter than ever, playing the game again in a nostalgia attack. The graphics surely aged (this is what happens when you go for realism in videogames, right, realism ages pretty badly), but the parkour gameplay and the setting still make me feel a sense of freedom that is really unique. Turn off the Runner vision (the thing that makes some assets red to tell you what to do next), and you'll also have some puzzle game elements that, in my opinion, really add to the experience. Mirror's Edge is a diamond, but it's a raw one: the controls are a bit janky, the close combat and gun combat systems barely sketched, the characters are very cliche', and the events of the story are way less interesting than the setting it takes place in. Still, I can't help but recommend this to anyone. This game should've been the start of a great series, a sequel should've addressed these more rough aspects, but that never came... until Catalyst, which was a flop. But that's for another review.
