Game is really good and aged very well. Nice and unique graphics, even by today's standards, and great soundtrack too. Sometimes It is a bit hard and unforgiving, but that's ok. It is a great gaming experience.
First, let me say this is my favorite game of all time, and that most of my playtime is on xbox before switching over to PC, and even then most of the hours aren't recorded. Don't get me wrong, this game is absolute jank. If I remember correctly, EA DICE developed it concurrently with Battlefield 3, so all of their budget went there. The result is a rushed product with lots of cut content and glitches. Yet, it is an absolute joy to speedrun this game. The flaws seem to work in its favor through that lens; the cut content leaves it the perfect length to blitz through in one sitting. The main glitches/exploits you use to speedrun the game incorporate very well into Faith's moveset and make it somehow feel more like parkour than if it were more realistic and polished. The story could've been waaay cooler if they had fleshed it out, but ultimately the gameplay is what I come back for, so it's nice to have it out of the way. And in spite of the story being rushed, I love the world and aesthetic of Mirror's Edge. I think they truly bottled lightning with this game, and I probably still be coming back to it occasionally in the retirement home.
Every aspect of this game is fantastic and it's a wonderful experience
6/10 Climbing is fun, the graphics cool and the parkour gameplay enjoyable from time to time. As a more advanced gamer, my main issue is that the game keeps holding your hand for a little too long. While I found the last 1.5 hours enjoyable parkour puzzle solving, it doesn't change the fact I was quite bored the first 3.5 hours. I also think the last 20 years are making Mirror's Edge to look like a small indie experience rather than a full-fledged game.
Good game and on point. You're basically fighting against palantir and all the orgs that work with them. i love this grounded yet stylized sort of frutiger cyberpunk thing they got going on. i feel like the controls are more finicky than they should be for a parkour game though.
I love parkour. I love melee combat. This game mixes both of those, and not even badly, but I just dislike the game. It felt very boring and there wasn't really a ton to do. The graphics REALLY hold up for a 17 year old game, but I just didn't have a ton of fun. Not for 6$ 7/10
