Incremental Survival Game? Sign Me Up!
Minutescape is an interesting one. A survival game where your goal is to survive for five minutes, dodging enemies in the confines of a box. Every time an enemy spawns, you get the currency associated with them. Different enemies spawn the longer you survive, adding more currencies to the equation and such. Pretty self explanatory. Upgrades include things like speed, abilities, how much currency you earn, how big your box is, and much more. Honestly, it can get a little grindy and repetitive and I think some of the negative criticisms are valid, but with games from this genre, it always tends to become that way from mid to late game, so the grind didn't bother me all too much. I'll leave a positive review here, I did enjoy my time with it but I suggest you check out the reviews a bit before you decide if this game is for you or not.
Просто. Затягивает. Концовка заставила фрустрировать.
More of a warning review
While it is positive - most of it comes from me having fun trying to get it running on win 7 machine back in the days (its actually a chromium (browser) engine game and win7 support is dropped lmao) and being somewhat competent at bullet hell genre, which is being crossed over with incrementals quite frequently, idk. Progressing through this WILL take some skill mid-game, because while early upgrades can be grinded for - next currencies will be gained after reaching 1:00 and 2:30 survival marks to spawn new enemies which provide these currencies, and "start from X minute mark" upgrades are quite a far reach. Upgrades themself are a mixed bag: there are skills that you can use in game to help with dodging projectiles, but they're absolutely useless early on, you have to commit to maxing one out to be able to properly utilize it, otherwise it might just not be equipped. This principle can apply to some other upgrades, like temporary invincibility.

This game might ask too much of you to keep the progression pace in tact as the developer intended, so if you expect an incremental here - make sure you can handle bullet hell too, since there are at least 2 stopcaps (new resource gain minute marks) that might frustrate you out of this game because there's really no way around it other than "git gud".
Minutescape is without a doubt a top tier singleplayer game It is a very simple game with minimal spec requirements, yet it makes the most out of its simplistic style with super fun and interesting gameplay Its one of those games where you die and upgrade yourself to last more and get more resources to upgrade yourself even more, but with a super interesting upgrade system and some other aspects to help you out, so that you can always kinda choose your own path It has a super interesting vibe with a very fitting soundtrack, and i'd personally say it is also pretty replayable The only downside is that it doesn't have too much content to offer, but for the price of 6 bucks it is a fantastic deal
hard but cool
