Just got back from Pax East 2018. With 1000+ people playing it they found some "bugs" which we call features. We will be addressing them and uploading a patch by end of the week. Thanks for playing MiniBotz, we appreciate your support and understanding as we build our first game.

Fun game worth taking some time to play if your a fan of the old arcade style. Minibotz is simple enough to get right in there and play, yet challenging enough to keep you trying to beat your last score. I def look forward to seeing more multiplayer options and new updates!
Got the game for free at pax east, devs seemed friendly, so gave it a go even though the game seemed in a stale state when I played it there. The version I played there is NOTHING like the version I downloaded. It is insanely more difficult on steam. I have tried it a few times, but it's always the same thing. Sit in a corner and shoot or run around in a circle and shoot. I never feel like there's a good path or optimal strategy to the game because waves aren't consistent and enemies spawn above and on you. It isn't fun when an enemy just happens to land on your head while you're trying to jump and it becomes instant death. The main issue I see with the game is that enemies spawn on top of you every 3-5 seconds or so and will also fall on you while you're trying to jump. The gameplay doesn't seem designed for single player. Rounds maybe last on average 30 seconds (for me anyhow) while playing solo. If you like chasing a high score this game would probably be fun for you, but if you get frustrated with constantly restarting over what feels like unavoidable deaths I would pass. Most deaths seem inevitable and I noticed I was merely holding down left click and moving around until my hp depleted due to being spawned on by enemies. I'll give it another go next year and see where it's at.
I liked the fact that you could use the terrain to your advantage, pushing cans and other objects in the way of the oncoming hordes. It slows them down just enough to get another heartbeat in before you fire again. The power-ups are cool. The shield comes in super handy, as does the aerial bombard. I haven't had a chance to give the multiplayer a try yet, but that's only a matter of time.
This game is pure ♥♥♥♥. You run in circles and hold MMB for score. Unless you choose to use Mack, then you sit in a corner and hold MMB for score.
I hate cockroaches.
1. pick a corner 2. left click 3. enjoy the game
