About
MindsEye Campaign
MindsEye is a single-player, story-driven action-adventure thriller set in the near-future desert city of Redrock. You play as Jacob Diaz, a former soldier haunted by a mysterious implant and fractured memories. Across a cinematic campaign, you’ll complete missions, uncover your past, and confront a conspiracy involving rogue AI, corrupt corporations, and unchecked military power, a threat that reaches far beyond the city itself.

The City of Redrock
Redrock is a desert metropolis where advanced technology is everywhere. AI and robotics control daily life, shaping everything from commerce to security. Beneath the surface, the city hides secrets, dangers, and conflict. From gleaming towers to industrial sprawl and remote outposts, every district is part of the story.
Combat
Combat is responsive and tactical. Outsmart enemies with unique behaviors, use cover and verticality, and fight in third person with a wide arsenal, pistols, SMGs, sniper rifles, energy weapons, and grenades. Your companion drone, DC2, is directly linked to your implant, providing hacking, scouting, and support in battle.

Driving and Vehicle Action
Missions place you behind the wheel of electric cars, muscle vehicles, buggies, and quadcopters. High-speed chases, desert runs, and industrial zone pursuits are designed to push your skills and keep the action moving.

Endless Stream of New Content
The campaign is only the beginning. MindsEye offers an endless stream of new playable content delivered regularly. New missions, races, puzzles, and challenges developed and released by the BARB team bring fresh surprises. This evolving world keeps MindsEye alive with new ways to play long after the credits roll.

I wanted to try this game, well I was thinking to buy it, I heard the game is in good condition now, than it was when it released, but that's not true. The game still has performance issues, I can't seem to enjoy the game properly, it's free weekend, and I played for about 2 hours, and it still got performance issues, the game lags even on lower settings, unplayable when fps drops below 20. The game gets too bright in cutscenes, and it also got crashed like 3 times in 2 hours of playtime. I don't usually give game reviews, but this needs to addressed even after 1 year of its release, the game is unplayable. Devs it's a good game, please optimise it properly.
Three hours impressions from the free weekend. Good things: -Cutscene work, especially the human models and acting. There's a reason that's what they show on the store page. Graphics look great, good subtlety in the mo-cap acting. -The writing isn't that bad honestly, it's a basic but functional sci-fi thriller. -It is genuinely hilarious that I can plow down pedestrians on my first day at work and not get any comments about it from NPC's. Bugs and issues: -Random stutters while traversing the open world, especially the most dense stuff (which is not that dense, compared to any other open world) -Occasional random flickers, pixel borders -Level of detail issues, never loading the high end models Bad stuff: -Gameplay is perfunctory and occasionally outright bad. Third person shooter combat that does it worse than anything else I can think of, even mediocre entries in the genre. Guys just kinda come at you, without a lot of good guidance. You'll be punished for being too aggressive, but also not aggressive enough, with no real semblance to the flow. The more action, the worse it gets, like the military flashback sequence. -Graphics are uneven. Characters in cutscenes are the best. Everything else varies, sometimes worse than your average PS4 open world game. -Open world is boring and empty etc etc. Some good details, love all the drones in the sky. But generally nothing to see or do, even in this alternative future version of fake definitely not Las Vegas. -Driving is firmly "okay" but the car seems like it loves to spin out. Hard to tell what you can smash through and what will stop you in your tracks. Despite the stories of purported sabotage and internal studio chaos, I'm glad I tried the game for myself. But my read on this is just a studio with talented staff and a pretty big budget was just lead astray by incoherent direction and management. The game just screams this, it's so obvious. It kinda feels like someone said "let's make a game like The Matrix Awakens UE5 demo" except they barely even reached that level in terms of fleshing out their world and detail. Hard to say if I'll ever play more. It's a dumb game, and not very good. I might be more willing to play any other generic open world third person shooter I got for free or on sale, like Suicide Squad, the Saints Row reboot, and so on. Not exactly the games you'd want to be compared to.
Meh... Not bad, but boring af.
Majdnem elaludtam a játék közben. bele tettem egy jó 6 órát... hát a történet tetszik, de a küldetések nagyon monotonok és a pálya dizájn is elég random. kicsit olyan volt mintha az új Saints Row-al játszanék.
Ah yes. The infamous competitor to GTA VI. Gameplay? Uninspiring. Story? Minimally interesting at best. Performance? Abyssmal. MindsEye is an ambitious idea that unfortunately fails to deliver in any capacity. While I did enjoy the idea, and the first hour or two were charming, any excitement I had felt was quickly plagued with a plethora of performance issues. Major FPS drops, hard stuttering (both in game and in cutscenes) and an extreme lack of any kind of interactivity with the player from the world standpoint. You as the player are mostly locked to one vehicle for the majority of the game, a knockoff Tesla 3. The world does not care about you as the player at all. Not in the "I'm not going to hold your hand" sense, but in the "Does anything I do actually impact the game?" sense. Pedestrians will run if you aim at them, but you can execute them in cold blood (in any area, including the wannabe Tesla factory that you base at) with no consequences. There is not law enforcement to respond to you. Things you've interacted with, like vehicles, disappear as soon as you turn your back on them, save your Tesla. There is a distinct lack of "Give a ♥♥♥♥" about the player from the world's perspective. Furthermore, I played this over the free weekend, put just under 16 hours, and already completed the story, and all the achievements. There is a "Creative" style mode, where you can design your own and play other players maps/game modes, but even that feels like a last minute addition to try and get the player to stay in this bad relationship of a game. Interesting premise. Piss poor execution. Unnecessarily high-end performance needs. Overall Score: 2/5, and honestly, 2 is stretching it. Recommendation: If you want to try this game, get it on a DEEEP sale. And even then, don't expect much.
Horrible performance, struggles to maintain 60fps at 1080p WITH DLSS enabled. Even worse developers who bloat their review score by posting their own positive reviews. Deserves the hate it got.
Gorgeous setting, dead-on-arrival everything else. Broken combat, stale missions, constant glitches and a dead world. A promising idea buried under bad execution. 2/10. Skip it.
Eu tentei. Comprei iniciei, quando botei no ultra o jogo começou a piscar a tela com o caralho kkkkkkk, nem quero me estressar, so reembolsei.
